2025 AVCA/TARAFLEX Div. I WVB Preseason Poll
The 2025 AVCA/TARAFLEX Division I Women’s Volleyball Preseason Poll is out!
Topping the poll is Nebraska, which is led by new head coach Dani Busboom Kelly. The Huskers are followed by defending champ Penn State at No. 2, Pittsburgh at 3, Louisville at 4, and Texas at 5.
The Big Ten Conference leads the way with seven ranked teams, followed by the Big 12 with six. Both the Atlantic Coast Conference and the Southeastern Conference have five teams in the poll, and the BIG EAST and Atlantic 10 check in with one team apiece.
The new season gets underway with AVCA First Serve, which features four days of doubleheaders from Aug. 22-25. The first three days are at Pinnacle Bank Arena in Lincoln, Nebraska, and the final night includes a doubleheader at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Ten teams will take part in the event, nine of which are ranked in the top 16 of the Preseason Poll.
