The 2025 NFL Draft is now complete, as the seventh round wrapped up this afternoon.

Like always, this draft was not free of drama. The biggest story became Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders not getting drafted until the fifth round. This surprising drop perplexed analysts, especially considering several lower-rated passers went before Sanders.

Otherwise, a ton of talented players got to achieve their dreams this weekend. But, not every talented college player heard their name called, and there is an impressive crop of undrafted free agents this year.

Now, with the draft festivities over, let’s identify the most surprising undrafted players.

Isaiah Bond, WR, Texas

Isaiah Bond was one of the most sought-after wide receivers in the transfer portal last spring. Now, just one year later, the receiver went undrafted.

Bond had a disappointing showing at the scouting combine in Indianapolis, running a much slower 40 than people expected. The receiver is also facing some serious allegations that likely affected his draft stock.

Still, Bond was a productive SEC wide receiver and it’s surprising that no team took a chance. Expect the receiver to battle in camp for a roster spot, assuming his legal issues are resolved.

Xavier Restrepo, WR, Miami

Xavier Restrepo is another receiver who’s stock tumbled due to his performance in drills. The Miami product ran a miserable 4.83 40-yard dash and that unquestionably scared teams.

However, Restrepo was one of the best receivers in college last season. The shifty receiver caught 69 passes for 1,127 yards and 11 touchdowns, earning All-American honors.

The receiver may not be as fast as teams would like, but he’s a great route-runner and has sure hands. Don’t be surprised to see Restrepo make a final roster.

Jake Briningstool, TE, Clemson

Jake Briningstool fits the theme of talented pass-catchers who didn’t test the best and subsequently went undrafted.

Bringinstool isn’t the best blocker and he’s going to need to add some weight if he wants to stick in the league. Still, it was surprising to see a productive ACC pass-catcher not get taken in the later rounds.

Briningstool caught 49 passes for 530 yards and seven touchdowns in 2024. The pass-catcher may have a future as a receiving-only tight end at the back of a roster.

Cobee Bryant, CB, Kansas

Cobee Bryant was arguably the most talented cornerback to go undrafted. Bryant was a ballhawk in college, securing four interceptions in each of his final two seasons.

However, teams couldn’t get over his slight frame and average speed. Still, a corner who makes as many plays as Bryant did should have been worth a late-round flier.

Bryant is another UDFA who could end up making a team and playing a role as a rookie.

'Who Is 'Her'?'

California attorney Julie Hamill on Friday repeatedly corrected CNN anchor Brianna Keilar over transgender sports policies and gender.

Hamill, president of the California Justice Center, argued that boys competing in girls sports is unfair, and California needs to comply with federal law via Title IX and keep female sports female.

Keilar, on the other hand, repeatedly referred to a male athlete dominating girls track in California as “her,” and suggested Title IX doesn’t necessarily protect girls sports.

“What would make this fair for her to compete, for those who are competing against her?” Keilar said of the male athlete in question, called AB Hernandez. “What would that kind of structure in competition look like?”

“Who is ‘her’?” Hamill pressed the CNN anchor. “AB Hernandez is a male who identifies as a female. What would be fair is to have Hernandez competing in the male category. It is not fair for the females competing to have to compete with a male.”

Keilar then suggested that liberal states allowing males to compete in girls sports is not the problem, President Donald Trump threatening to take away funding over the injustice is what’s actually harmful to girls.

“Okay, so in Trump’s federal funding threat — is that something that would hurt all student-athletes who are assigned female at birth,” Keilar posed, referring to girls.

“Would his federal funding threat hurt athletes?” a puzzled Hamill pushed back.

“If the money is taken away,” Keilar said.

“Right, so the law actually says that schools that do not abide [by] Title IX or other federal laws cannot receive federal funds,” Hamill explained. “So that’s not Trump’s fault.”

“But you understand, Julie, you understand there’s two views here on Title IX,” Keilar interjected. “Not everyone agrees with you. I think we just have to be clear about that. If you are taking away the funds for athletes, student athletes in California, isn’t that going to hurt all of them?”

“Taking away federal funds is going to hurt all California kids, which is why the state of California needs to comply with federal law,” Hamill responded. “It’s very simple.”

Keilar then claimed the “science” is not “clear” on fairness in sports regarding males competing against females. “Is this a situation where more research might help?” she asked.

In response, Hamill zeroed-in on the harm irreversible sex-change procedures and medications have on minors.

“Pediatric sex-change procedures are very harmful and they cause life-long damage to children,” she said. “And this is something that the United States of America needs to examine thoughtfully, and people need to be able to discuss openly without being called bigots and transphobes.”

“A Little Wobbly”

While most of his New England Patriots teammates were starting their offseason prep during the first day of OTAs earlier this week, Stefon Diggs was having himself a time. Instead of attending the voluntary team activities, to be fair, Diggs took his rumored new girlfriend, rapper Cardi B, on a yacht with a bevy of other lovely ladies for a Memorial Day weekend celebration.

How do we know he did this? Because there is video of him flirting with three of the women (none of whom are Cardi B) and eventually handing them a small plastic bag with a pink substance in one of them.

We say “substance,” but we all have a pretty good idea of what that was. That viral video from a few years ago of every one of Diggs’ Minnesota Vikings teammates saying he’d be the last guy they’d want their sister to date is making more sense with each passing day.

Nonetheless, Diggs was able to shake off those vacation vibes and whatever that pink stuff was to get back in the gym right away. On Friday, he posted a video of himself back in the lab to quell some of the outrage about his Memorial Day yacht situation.

The video featured Diggs doing a variety of exercises, none of which you’ve ever seen before. It seems every new athlete workout video is complete with a set of never-before-seen exercises, like this one where Diggs has his feet on the ball and must stack cones with his hands. Now that’s core strength.

Of course, after what we all saw on the yacht, fans had a field day with Diggs’ peculiar workout video. One went straight for the jugular, saying he looked, “A little wobbly after the pink coke.” The rest of the fans took aim at the strange workout routine.

Like every new video of these athletes training is a different exercise you’ve never seen. Like why they doin this for clout,” complained one.

God given talent is a beautiful thing, cuz this dude is f*cken clueless during a workout,” quipped another. “Am I tripping or is this the worst compilation of weak ass lifts I’ve ever seen lmaoo,” pointed out a third.

If you’re wondering if Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel and the rest of the organization know about this whole Diggs debacle, they do. But you’re not going to get anything else out of Vrabel on the situation.

“It’s something that we’re aware of, and obviously we want to make great decisions on and off the field. The message will be the same for all our players, that we’re trying to make great decisions. And any conversations that I’ve had with Stefon will remain between him and I and the club.”

Clearly, Vrabel saw the video. And it would be hard to believe it wouldn’t piss an old school guy like him right off. However, Vrabel is a smart coach who knows how to deal with players. Especially mercurial ones like Diggs. It’s always better to work with them behind the scenes when there’s an issue, rather than call them out in the media.

That’s what Vrabel’s done here with Diggs. And if the 31-year-old is anything like he was in his prime prior to 2023, Vrabel’s discretion in this situation will have been well worth it.

Some creative artist athletes are using GPS to draw genitals and more! The images are going viral on social media.

As you might know, your GPS or smart watch can track your movements while you exercise. It can keep track of how fast you go, how many calories you burn, and even track the route you took on your run or hike. Then, you can look back and see what you did and where you went. Usually, it’s a circle or some kind of planned trail. However, you can get creative and create your own routes that end up looking like a penis or a portrait of Chappell Roan. That’s what some artist athletes have been doing and it’s taking the internet by storm.

Artist Athletes Are Using GPS To Draw Genitals And More

People are now planning their routes around creating funny shapes with their exercises. It requires a lot of effort and planning, but I’d say it’s definitely worth it. People have used GPS to make hilarious images from their workouts, including penises, sharks, pop icons, and more. Some of them are just funny while others are actually quite detailed and artistic.

The cool thing is, you can do these pretty much anywhere! If you’re in a big city there are plenty of ways to do it and the same goes if you’re out in the open country. The opportuniteis and possibilities are endless!

Plane flying 'No Boys in Girls' Sports' banner over track meet goes viral as trans athlete dominates

A plane that flew a banner that read “No Boys in Girls’ Sports!” over the California track and field state championship prelims at Veterans Memorial Stadium in Clovis on Friday set the internet ablaze.

The display, which was organized by the women’s outreach groups, Women are Real and the Independent Council for Women’s Sports (ICONS), drew strong reactions amid national controversy over trans athlete AB Hernandez competing in the girls’ competition.

Many supporters of the movement to protect women’s and girls’ sports praised the stunt on social media, including former NCAA swimmer Riley Gaines.

Hernandez went on to claim first place in long jump, triple jump and high jump, beating out all the female competitors, and will now compete for the state title in the finals on Saturday.

However, due to recent CIF rule changes, the girls who would normally finish one spot out of advancing to Saturday’s finals will qualify since Hernandez took a spot.

The CIF instituted these rule changes in the days leading up to the event amid mass backlash, threats of federal funding cuts by President Donald Trump and a Department of Justice investigation against the state.

Friday’s events also featured one arrest, as police confirmed to Fox News Digital that a pro-LGBTQ protester was apprehended after breaking the car windows of another attendee.

“This afternoon at 3:55PM, a disturbance between two adults occurred at the intersection of Nees/Minnewawa. One adult on the sidewalk and one in a vehicle at the intersection became involved in a disturbance that turned physical. During the disturbance, one of them used pepper spray against the other. EMS was called and one of the adults was arrested,” a statement read.

The person has been arrested for assault with a weapon and obstructing police, according to Sergeant Chris Hutchison.

“We don’t have room for violence or property damage or anything like that,” Hutchison.

Activists on both sides will return to Veteran’s Memorial Stadium on Saturday for the final round, as Hernandez looks to finish off a dominant and controversial postseason run under a heated national spotlight.

Controversial Home Plate Call Goes Viral, Oregon Ducks Upset By Utah Valley

At a packed PK Park on Friday night at the Eugene Regional, the Oregon Ducks fell short to the Utah Valley Wolverines of the Western Athletic Conference at PK Park, 6-5. An upset from the Big Ten Conference regular season champions at the hands of a mid-major program doesn’t come without some controversy.

The understandably questionable call at home plate during the bottom of the eighth inning is all that is being talked about. With Oregon trailing, 6-4, no outs and runners on the corners, first and third base. Oregon junior Anson Aroz was looking to tag up from third after a fly ball to left field coming off the bat from junior Chase Meggers, Aroz ran through Utah Valley’s redshirt junior catcher Mason Strong.

The original call from the home plate umpire AJ Mendel was that Aroz was safe. After a lengthy review from the booth, Aroz was not only called out but ejected for “malicious contact’ in the collision. The takes during such an important call from Mendel is being discussed as a game-changing error that led to No. 12 Oregon’s loss in the opening round.

According to the NCAA baseball’s rules regarding obstruction at home plate, it follows:

– A defensive player cannot block a base without clear possession of the ball.

– Penalty for obstruction results in immediate dead ball and runner awarded one base.

Oregon coach Mark Wasikowski had this to say about the game deciding play not in favor of the Ducks.

“I feel bad for the umpires. They said it came from Pittsburgh, and it was out of their hands, and I’m really proud of the way Anson Aroz went into home plate the way he did. I was taught to play hard. I was taught to get after it by my dad and my coaches growing up, and unfortunately, playing hard was not rewarded tonight by whatever rule was supposedly violated by a player that was playing hard.”

– Oregon coach Mark Wasikowski

6-11 right-handed junior Jason Reitz was handed just his second loss of the 2025 season after allowing six runs (five earned) through six full innings against Utah Valley. In the third inning alone, the Wolverines scored four runs. It’s hard to believe that Reitz ended up in this losing situation after dealing up a career-high 14 strikeouts through 110 pitches thrown against the Wolverines.

“The fourteen Ks is what it is, but the bottom line is I don’t feel like I did my job to the standard that I need to do to help us win the game. We’ll come out tomorrow and fight for the next three days, and that’s all we can do.”

– Oregon coach Mark Wasikowski

Against Utah Valley in the opening round loss, junior center fielder Mason Neville went 2-for-5 with one strikeout and no runs batted in. The 2025 MLB Draft prospect is projected as the No. 32 talent, according to MLB.com.

Oregon now awaits the Cal Poly Mustangs from the Big West at 12 p.m. PT on Saturday, May 31.

“I think they’ll play great tomorrow. Backs against the wall. These guys played with their backs against the wall, they played their best baseball when they’ve done that. And so, I think we’re going to play fantastic.”

On a more positive note for the Oregon athletic department, coach Melyssa Lombardi and the Ducks’ softball team advanced in the Women’s College World Series on a bases-loaded walk in the bottom of the 10th inning.

Only five schools across college athletics have reached the postseason in football, men’s and women’s basketball, women’s volleyball, softball and baseball. Oregon, North Carolina Tar Heels of the Atlantic Coast Conference, and four Southeastern Conference programs in the Oklahoma Sooners, Ole Miss Rebels, Tennessee Volunteers, and the Texas Longhorns.
