 Dominating their division

The Brewers defied expectations last season when they won 93 games. They aim to surprise the “experts” again in 2025.

That’s something that hasn’t been done since the St. Louis Cardinals won three consecutive National League Central Division titles from 2013 to 2015.

Replacing stars

Closer Devin Williams was traded to the New York Yankees before he entered the last year of his contract. Trevor Megill worked well in that spot last season while Williams was out with a back injury.

Craig Counsell’s Chicago Cubs acquired Kyle Tucker and relief pitcher Ryan Pressly in separate deals with the Houston Astros. They traded away Cody Bellinger.
Here are three things to watch over the next several weeks and the upcoming season.

NL Central outlook

MILWAUKEE — Pitchers and catchers from the Milwaukee Brewers report to Spring Training Wednesday in Arizona.

National League Manager of the Year Pat Murphy is hoping Jackson Chourio continues to blossom into a star. Health updates on Christian Yelich and Brandon Woodruff will be important in Spring Training.
