Graham Parrington, a fitness instructor at the Holme Pierrepont Country Park gym, has been shortlisted at the National Fitness Awards in the Outstanding Achievement category. Graham competes regularly in UK calisthenics competitions, where is always the oldest competitor, vying for medals against men in the 20s and 30s! At the recent United Kingdom Calisthenics Organisation Midlands Championship, Graham placed third in the Intermediate Statics category. The next oldest competitor was a youthful 36 years old – less than half Graham’s age!
Graham inspires customers of all ages at the Holme Pierrepont Country Park gym. One of his biggest fans is long-time member, John Robertson: “Graham’s coaching and instruction makes you feel as though you can and will achieve the targets you have set yourself. He leads by example and his great depth of experience is without doubt a benefit to all those attending his classes.
Another gym member who’s following Graham’s example is Marci McLeod-Brown: “I know I wouldn’t have come on far without his help and advice. He’s one of a kind!”
“I really hope that Graham achieves the recognition he deserves for his absolutely amazing and inspirational efforts.”
Graham was nominated by his boss, Rachel Wheatman, Health and Fitness Manager at Holme Pierrepont Country Park:
