BROOKLYN, Mich. (AP) — Denny Hamlin is unfazed that a three-judge federal appellate panel vacated an injunction that required NASCAR to recognize 23XI, which he owns with Michael Jordan, and Front Row as chartered teams as part of an antitrust lawsuit.
“That’s just such a small part of the entire litigation,” Hamlin said Saturday, a day ahead of the FireKeepers Casino 400. “I’m not deterred at all. We’re in good shape.”
Hamlin said Jordan feels the same way.
“He just remains very confident, just like I do,” Hamiln said.
NASCAR has not commented on the latest ruling.
23XI and Front Row sued NASCAR late last year after refusing to sign new agreements on charter renewals. They asked for a temporary injunction that would recognize them as chartered teams for this season, but the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals in Richmond, Virginia, on Thursday ruled in NASCAR’s favor.
“We’re looking at all options right now,” Hamlin said.
The teams, each winless this year, said they needed the injunction because the current charter agreement prohibits them from suing NASCAR. 23XI also argued it would be harmed because Tyler Reddick’s contract would have made him a free agent if the team could not guarantee him a charter-protected car.
Hamlin insisted he’s not worried about losing drivers because of the uncertainty.
“I’m not focused on that particularly right this second,” he said.
Reddick, who was last year’s regular-season champion and competed for the Cup title in November, enters the race Sunday at Michigan ranked sixth in the Cup Series standings.
The charter system is similar to franchises in other sports, but the charters are revocable by NASCAR and have expiration dates.
The six teams may have to compete as “open” cars and would have to qualify on speed each week to make the race and would receive a fraction of the money.
Without a charter, Hamlin said it would cost the teams “tens of millions,” to run three cars.
“We’re committed to run this season open if we have to,” he said. “We’re going to race and fulfill all of our commitments no matter what. We’re here to race. Our team is going to be here for the long haul and we’re confident of that.”
The antitrust case isn’t scheduled to be heard until December.
NASCAR has not said what it would do with the six charters held by the two organizations if they are returned to the sanctioning body. There are 36 chartered cars for a 40-car field.
“We feel like facts were on our side,” Hamlin said. “I think if you listen to the judges, even they mentioned that we might be in pretty good shape.”

He has finished eighth, fourth and fifth so far this season in the No. 9 entry. He’ll make his final XNXS start of the season at Iowa Speedway on Aug. 2 in the Acceptance Chevy.
Chastain has 12 starts in the NXS at Dover. His most recent start in August 2020 at the Delaware track resulted in a second-place finish.
The No. 9 NXS entry has visited Victory Lane twice this season under the guidance of crew chief Cory Shea – Mexico City with Daniel Suarez and the Chicago Street Race with Shane van Gisbergen.
Ross Chastain
“Dover is a special track to me. It’s where I got my first Cup Series start back in 2017. It’s such a unique track and one of my favorite on the schedule which is why I wanted to drive in the Xfinity race. It would be a huge win for me and Acceptance Insurance to get into Victory Lane on Saturday. They have an awesome Miles the Monster trophy and Cory has won with my two Trackhouse teammates in the No. 9 this year. I need to add my name to that list so he has wins with every driver he’s had this season.”

Connor Zilisch will make his first Dover start in the NXS this Saturday afternoon.
Last week at Sonoma Raceway, Zilisch scored his third win of the 2025 season after leading 46 of the 79 laps. The victory came in his first NXS start at Sonoma and was his fourth in 22 career starts. He enters Dover tied with Justin Allgaier and Austin Hill for most NXS wins this season.
The victory at Sonoma was his seventh consecutive top-five finish, an impressive streak that began at Charlotte Motor Speedway in May. His average finish in those seven races is a sizzling 2.42.
The driver of the Carolina Carports Chevrolet is no stranger to success at Dover. Zilisch won his first ARCA race there in 2024, leading the final 42 laps.
Zilisch enters Dover fourth in the NXS driver standings, five points behind third-place Hill and 69 behind leader Allgaier.
Connor Zilisch
“I won the ARCA race at Dover last year and I really enjoy the track. It’s a high-banked, high-grip, concrete track that changes a lot throughout a run so we’ll have to stay on top of it. We were fast at Bristol and Nashville, the other concrete tracks we go to, so I’m optimistic about this weekend. I’m eager to keep the momentum going and be there at the end when it counts in our No. 88 Carolina Carports Chevrolet.”

Brenden “Butterbean” Queen will make his NASCAR Truck Series return in the July 25 race at Indianapolis Raceway Park. Queen will pilot the No. 07 Chevrolet Silverado for Spire Motorsports.
This will be Queen’s fourth career Truck Series start and first since last September’s race at Kansas Speedway. Queen finished a career best fourth at North Wilkesboro Speedway in May 2024.
“I’m very blessed for the opportunity to get back in the CRAFTSMAN Truck Series with Spire Motorsports and Chevrolet,” Queen said. “Having Best Repair Company be a part of this means a lot to me because they took a chance on me when I was working at the Port of Virginia and not sure if I would get to continue racing. It is really neat to see how far we have come in the last couple of years and hopefully, this is the first of many more CRAFTSMAN Truck Series starts.”
Brenden Queen set for Truck Series return amid standout ARCA season
Queen, 27, drives full time for Pinnacle Racing Group in the ARCA Menards Series. He has collected three wins this season — his first full-time campaign in the series — taking the checkered flag at Daytona International Speedway, Kansas and Michigan International Speedway. Queen currently has a nine-point advantage over Lawless Alan atop the points standings.
Before joining ARCA, Queen made a name for himself in the CARS Late Model Stock Car Tour. Queen finished second in 2023 driving for Lee Pulliam Performance before winning the Championship in 2024. Crew chief Allen Hart is excited about getting the chance to work with Queen.
“I’m really looking forward to working with Brenden,” Hart said. “We have made some gains in the simulator over the past few weeks, so I feel confident as we head to IRP. He has been a blast to work with, so we will definitely carry that enthusiasm into the race.”
The No. 07 truck was a winner earlier this season. Kyle Larson drove the truck to victory at Homestead-Miami Speedway.

Stark Future announced its first profitable quarter, reaching profitability faster than any other electric vehicle manufacturer.

This is a press release from Stark Future…
Barcelona, Spain (July 15, 2025) — In a remarkable six-year sprint from founding and only two years after delivering the first vehicles to customers, Stark Future, the world’s fastest-growing electric motorcycle brand, today announced its first profitable quarter. This unprecedented achievement, reaching profitability faster than any other electric vehicle manufacturer, firmly positions Stark Future as the first name in global electric motorcycles.
For Q2 2025, Stark reported a robust €47 million revenue and €4.5 million EBITDA, revenue that more than doubled from the previous year. This rapid financial ascent solidifies Stark Future as the largest and fastest-scaling electric-only motorcycle manufacturer in history, long since surpassing all other pure EV rivals in volume, revenue, and international footprint.
“Our main achievements in product development are well known, but this financial success is confirmation that our customers appreciate the hard work we put in every day behind the scenes,” said Anton Wass, CEO of Stark Future. “We’ve rapidly established a cost-competitive global value chain as well as built a cutting-edge, 20,000-square-meter factory for in-house battery and vehicle production.”
Driven by overwhelming global demand for the groundbreaking Stark VARG, deliveries are accelerating across Europe, North America, South America, Asia, and Australia. The VARG’s unrivaled performance and innovative design have attracted multiple former and current Motocross World Champions as buyers this quarter alone, further cementing Stark’s reputation as the new benchmark in motocross and enduro performance.
“The Stark VARG is our proof of concept,” added Wass. “Tesla took 14 years to turn a profit. We did it in six, and we’re just getting started.”
Stark Future is channeling this explosive momentum to strategically enter broader segments of motorcycles and powersports, directly challenging long-established global brands with superior electric alternatives. Major breakthroughs in next-generation sustainable materials and advanced production scaling reflect the company’s ambitious vision to fundamentally reshape the future of two-wheeled transportation.
“Stark Future embodies the relentless innovation and unwavering focus that defined the most successful technology companies in history and, critically, we’re already profitable,” Wass continued. “This isn’t just about building great electric motorcycles, it’s about building a sustainable, profitable business that can reshape both this industry and beyond.”
Stark Future has proven that innovation and performance can go hand-in-hand with profitability. Stark Future’s profitable quarter isn’t just a financial milestone, it’s a powerful signal to the industry, investors, and riders that the electric era in motorcycles has arrived, and it’s being decisively led by a brand built to outpace tradition and dominate the future.

Katherine Legge Adds Brickyard 400 to 2025 NASCAR Schedule

Katherine Legge, a four-time Indianapolis 500 starter, will be tackling the iconic Indianapolis Motor Speedway racetrack once again next weekend, running double-duty in the NASCAR Cup Series and NASCAR Xfinity Series.
The native of Guildford, England, will be adding the Brickyard 400, one of NASCAR’s crown jewel events, to her schedule in the NASCAR Cup Series with Live Fast Motorsports. Legge will once again pilot the No. 78 Chevrolet, as she has in several events at NASCAR’s top-level in 2025.
Indianapolis Motor Speedway will mark the first time in her NASCAR career that Legge has run double-duty – competing in multiple of NASCAR’s top-three divisions during the same race weekend. In her 10 stock car events this season, the 44-year-old driver has focused on running either the Cup or Xfinity Series vehicle.
Desnuda Organic Tequila and Indiana-based venture studio Droplight will support Legge as she competes in both events at the iconic 2.5-mile speedway.
“It’s always an honor to drive at Indy, but having the chance to compete in both the Cup and Xfinity races thanks to Desnuda and Droplight is going to be epic,” said Katherine Legge. “After racing in the Indianapolis 500 in [2023 and 2024], I definitely felt a void not being there this year. But adding races to my schedule is exactly what I’ve been working toward – competing in as many events as possible and logging as many laps as I can. I’m incredibly thankful to Team Chevy and my partners at Desnuda, Droplight, and e.l.f. Cosmetics for making my return to the Brickyard extra special.”
Legge is currently the only woman competing in both the NASCAR Cup Series and NASCAR Xfinity Series, and earlier this year at Phoenix Raceway, became the first woman since Danica Patrick to start an event at NASCARs top-level.
“At Droplight, we invest in people with grit, purpose, and a commitment to excellence. Katherine Legge embodies all of that—not just as a world-class driver, but as a leader who inspires others to defy limits, said Phil Williams, Owner and Co-Founder of Droplight. “Just as we back small businesses across the United States that are built on vision and resilience, we support athletes like Katherine who carry that same entrepreneurial spirit on and off the track.”
Earlier this month at the Chicago Street Course, after bumping her way into the field during qualifying, Legge scored her best-ever finish in the NASCAR Cup Series, with a 19th-place run – the first woman to score a top-20 in the Cup Series since 2017.
“Many people see the driver, the car, and the race—but they miss the business behind it. Motorsports is one of the most demanding team environments in the world. It takes relentless coordination between engineering, strategy, mechanics, and leadership. Every bolt, every call, every second matters,” said Joseph Anderson, CEO and Co-Founder of Droplight. “Supporting Katherine Legge means supporting a team where everyone—from the pit crew to the data analyst—must execute with precision for a shot at success. It’s no different than a high-growth small business: if even one part of the team falls asleep, you miss the opportunity. At Droplight, we invest in those who operate at that level—on the track and in the marketplace.”
Making the transition into NASCAR’s National Series this season, Legge has made five starts in the NASCAR Xfinity Series for Jordan Anderson Racing, and four starts in the NASCAR Cup Series for Live Fast Motorsports.
In the Xfinity Series, Legge has had her fair share of bad luck this year, being involved in an incident in all five events that she has competed in, netting a season-best result of 32nd at Texas Motor Speedway earlier this year.
The NASCAR Cup Series has been a little bit kinder to Legge, aside from an incident in her series debut at Phoenix Raceway. In four starts, three of which have come on road courses, the Live Fast Motorsports driver has recorded a pair of top-30 results, including a career-best 19th at Chicago.
“Katherine represents the pinnacle of tenacity, class and endurance. As our team looks to the future and expands into more markets, we see our core customers sharing those traits. Quality and purity are also at the heart of our brand, and how we approach the process of creating the finest tequila. Katherine is the perfect partner to exemplify and promote that message. Cheers with Desnuda.”
Legge will compete in the Brickyard 400 at Indianapolis – set to take place on Sunday, July 27 at 2:00pm ET on TNT Sports, IMS Radio, SiriusXM NASCAR Radio Channel 90, and HBO Max. The Xfinity Series event will take place the afternoon before (July 26) at 4:30pm ET on The CW.
