Injuries and bye weeks are still creating gaps in our lineups, so Sam Wallace has come by with his top Week 14 fantasy football sleepers to assist you in filling those gaps.

We’ve arrived at the concluding week of the fantasy regular season. For the majority of leagues, playoffs will be held from Weeks 15-17, which means this is your final opportunity to either secure a playoff berth or retain that highly sought-after first-round bye.

However, there’s one issue—six NFL teams are on bye this week. The Ravens, Broncos, Texans, Colts, Patriots, and Commanders will take a week off while fantasy managers rush to fill available roster spots just before the critical week of the season.

Here are a few sleepers you might want to think about ahead of Week 14.

Top Fantasy Football Sleeper For Week 14

Adam Thielen, WR

  • @ Philadelphia Eagles
  • 72% available

Perhaps the Panthers had a reason when they chose Bryce Young instead of C.J. Stroud last season.

I realize it can be easy to get caught up in the moment, but Young’s development over the past few weeks has been fantastic to witness. I’m sure he’s pleased to have Adam Thielen back in action as well. The 34-year-old veteran had a fantastic performance last weekend with 8/99/1 on 10 targets and even left some points on the field.

With a number of strong fantasy choices on bye this weekend, Thielen might just be the key your team requires to make that final drive toward the postseason.

It’s easy to overlook how dominant Thielen was for fantasy at the beginning of last season. Even with the vast focus on Young and his trials, Thielen emerged as a fantasy star to kick off the 2023 season.

From Weeks 2-11 of the previous season, Thielen averaged close to 19 fantasy points per game and was rarely off the field. The target magnet was putting up outstanding figures for the rookie QB, and he seems set to finish this season in similar fashion.

No matter your league size, format, or scoring system, Thielen should be on your roster this Week 14.

More Sleepers For Fantasy Football Week 14

Russell Wilson, QB

  • vs. Cleveland Browns
  • 57% available

Lamar JacksonBo NixAnthony RichardsonDrake MayeJayden Daniels. Add Stroud into the mix, and those are the quarterbacks unavailable this weekend.

At least it’s not the opening week of the playoffs. Yay?

Russell Wilson doesn’t care if you appreciate his style or his demeanor; Russell Wilson is poised to bring home some fantasy championships this year. After dominating the admittedly weaker Bengals defense last weekend, Wilson has shown himself to be a franchise QB.

Disregard his recent game stats against Cleveland (the weather played a much more significant role than expected this weekend) and consider Wilson if you need a QB1 (or QB2) this week.

It’s been exciting to see “Mr. Unlimited” rejuvenate his career under Mike Tomlin as the Steelers now find themselves in a position to embark on a potentially deep playoff run. Let Wilson lead your fantasy team for one more week as you prepare for your own playoff ambitions.

Nick Westbrook-Ikhine, WR

  • vs. Jacksonville Jaguars
  • 80% available

I … I’m not even sure where to begin.

Nick Westbrook-Ikhine has defied every expectation of regression this season. If you haven’t noticed, the fifth-year receiver, who never exceeded 40 receptions or 480 receiving yards in any of his earlier seasons, has tallied eight touchdowns over his last eight games.

Eight. Touchdowns.

To complicate matters (or perhaps improve them), he achieved those eight touchdowns on just 20 paltry receptions. Surely, this can’t continue, right? Right?!

Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me eight times? I might finally need to get on board. If you find yourself truly in need of a plug-and-play this weekend, I have an intriguing option for you. Just be prepared for the possibility that the fantasy gods, in their twisted sense of humor, have Westbrook-Ikhine score a big fat zero in this critical week.

It could turn out fun, but consider this your warning.

Pat Freiermuth, TE

  • vs. Cleveland Browns
  • 58% available

The revival of Wilson and the entire Steelers offense has resulted in Pat Freiermuth finally emerging as a fantasy-relevant tight end. He now has four touchdowns this season and has either scored a touchdown or posted over 55 receiving yards in three of his previous four games.

While he may not be as widely available as some other players at the position, he is firmly established as a pivotal part of a suddenly explosive offense. If you’re in a tight spot, you could do far worse than choosing someone who’s available in over half of leagues.

Juwan Johnson, TE

  • @ New York Giants
  • 95% available

The New Orleans Saints are quickly running out of options. With Taysom Hill sidelined for the year, it falls to Juwan Johnson to elevate his game as the pass-catching tight end. Even prior to his Week 12 bye, Johnson was starting to find his rhythm.

He significantly stepped up after Hill’s injury, recording season-best stats across the board. It’s crucial to pay attention to his route participation, target percentage, air yards share, and Utilization Score. Each of those, if maintained, could solidify Johnson’s place on your starting roster this week.

Dwain McFarland even remarked“Johnson moves up to mid-range TE2 status and provides low-end TE1 potential if his route participation stays consistent.”
