The excitement is back at Daytona International Speedway (DIS) this weekend as the 10th Annual HSR Daytona Classic 24 Hour race, presented by Mission Foods, kicks off with enhanced livestream coverage. Matador Motorsports will present over 15 hours of livestream action, showcasing one of the most prestigious endurance events in historic motorsports. Tune in to witness classic cars from legendary marques, including official partners like Chevrolet, Lexus, AMG, McLaren, Porsche, and WeatherTech, take on the grueling 24-hour challenge on the iconic 3.56-mile road course.

Expanded Livestream Coverage by Matador Motorsports

Building on last year’s success, this weekend’s event will feature more extensive livestreaming on both the HSR and IMSA YouTube Channels. Last year marked the first time the Classic 24 was streamed live, with a total of 12 hours of coverage. This year, Matador Motorsports takes it a step further, bringing more than 15 hours of live action directly to fans around the globe.

The broadcast begins on Saturday morning, running from 10:20 a.m. to 8:20 p.m. EDT, and includes coverage of the HSR Daytona Historics races—a season points event within the Historic Sportscar Racing (HSR) calendar. As the morning races conclude, viewers can enjoy behind-the-scenes features, exclusive in-paddock and on-the-grid interviews, and the pre-race ceremonies leading up to the Classic 24’s start at 2 p.m.

Classic 24’s Unique 24-Hour Format

The HSR Daytona Classic 24 is celebrated for its “twice-around-the-clock” endurance racing style, split into six period-correct Run Groups, A through F. These groups rotate every hour across the 24-hour period, allowing fans to see a diverse array of iconic race cars from different eras. The format allows each Run Group to compete four times, adding up to a full day of continuous racing, with each race lasting just under an hour to account for pace laps and setup for the next round.

The Saturday livestream culminates in the first full rotation of races, wrapping up with the evening’s Group A race and a fireworks display at 8 p.m., a Classic 24 tradition. Livestream coverage then pauses, resuming on Sunday morning at 7:50 a.m. EDT. Daylight saving time ensures an extra hour of rest before the action picks back up, running until the final checkered flag at 1 p.m.

A Talented On-Air Team and Expert Production

Bringing the action to life, this year’s on-air team features veteran sports car racing broadcaster Joe Bradley, who returns to the booth after covering last year’s event. He will be joined by Jeff Wright, HSR’s official announcer, and motorsports journalist Marshall Pruett, who joins after his work with HSR at the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion in August.

The livestream is produced by Apex Broadcast, a renowned name in live motorsports coverage, ensuring a high-quality viewing experience for fans tuning in from around the world.

How to Watch

Race enthusiasts can watch all the thrilling action on the HSR and IMSA YouTube Channels. Whether you’re a fan of vintage racing or eager to see cars from Chevrolet, Lexus, AMG, McLaren, Porsche, and more, this weekend’s event promises hours of thrilling motorsport entertainment. With support from partners like WeatherTech and Mission Foods, the HSR Daytona Classic 24 Hour race has become a must-watch for both fans of endurance racing and vintage car enthusiasts alike.
