The Keiser Athletic Department has unveiled the 2024-25 Seahawks Athletes of the Month for November on Friday. This month’s honorees, senior guard Elliana Schaefer and junior quarterback Shea Spencer, have been acknowledged for their exceptional performances throughout the month.
Elliana Schaefer, Fourth Year, G, Castalia, Ohio
- Contributed to Keiser’s impressive 6-2 (1-1 SUN) record at the season’s start
- Posted an average of 15.8 points per game with a shooting percentage of 48.8
- Ranks second on the team for total assists (26) and steals (14)
- Leads the team in scoring and is the top free-throw shooter at 87.5 percent
- Achieved 20 or more points in three games throughout the month
- Recorded a personal best of 28 points against Warner
Shea Spencer, Third Year, QB, Vero Beach, Fla.
- Paced the No. 1-ranked football team to a perfect 4-0 record (3-0 SUN)
- Assisted Keiser in securing its third consecutive Sun Conference title (sixth overall – SUN & MSC)
- Achieved recognition as a Second-Team, All-Sun Conference quarterback
- Completed 60 of 84 passes for a total of 954 yards and 10 touchdowns during the month
- Matched a season-high in passing yards with 270 against Florida Memorial
- Delivered two or more touchdowns in each game that month, including a career-high of four against Ave Maria
- Also achieved a career-long 35-yard run and a touchdown against Pikeville (Ky.)
- Awarded the NAIA Second Round Most Outstanding Offensive Player of the Game
- Set a new record as the school’s all-time leader in passing yards
Honorable mentions for November include: Faith Marquis (Volleyball), Jade Simpson (Women’s Basketball), Rachel Bradley (Women’s Swimming & Diving), Refeno Vangates (Football), Bam Brima (Football), Kei’Sun Sanders (Wrestling), Tyreon Payne (Men’s Basketball).
