HERMITAGE, Pa. — John Edward “Ed” Bush, 73, a former resident of Hartford, departed this life at home on Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2024.

Born on Feb. 10, 1951, in Brownsville, Pa., he was the child of John Bush Jr. and Patricia A. Staley Bush.

Ed graduated from Joseph Badger High School in 1970.

Following graduation, he enlisted in the Air Force in 1970 and concluded his service in 1992, achieving the rank of Master Sergeant.

After his time in the military, he served as a mill operator at Wheatland Tube in Warren.

He was affiliated with the former Hartford VFW post 3535 and had a passion for hunting and classic muscle cars.

Ed is remembered by his sister, Cheryl (Charles Snyderwine) Torma of Brookfield; along with two brothers, David (Doreen) Bush of Chandler, Arizona, and Perry (Tammy) Bush of Kinsman.

He was predeceased by his parents and a son, Charles Jethro “Jed” Bush.

In accordance with Ed’s wishes, there will be no public services.

He will be laid to rest in Hartford Township Cemetery.
