KANSAS CITY, Mo.

–Nathan Donovan from University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire has been selected for the 2024 United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division III All-America First Team. Additionally, eight athletes from the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) have been named to the All-Region IX Team.

Donovan has achieved first-team honors for the second occasion in his career (previously in 2022) and is now recognized as the first athlete in the program’s history to attain two All-American titles. He stands atop all NCAA men’s college soccer – across all Divisions – in scoring with 26 goals. Donovan, the 2024 WIAC Kwik Trip Offensive Player of the Year, also recorded a team-high 15 assists, accumulating a total of 67 points. His goal and point totals have established single-season records for UW-Eau Claire. He concludes his time at UW-Eau Claire as the all-time leader in nearly every measurable category, ranking third in NCAA Division III history with 229 career points and fourth with 94 goals.

Accompanying Donovan on the United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division III All-Region IX First Team are UW-Eau Claire’s Carson Kowalski and UW-Platteville’s Danny Gutzwiller. Second team selections included UW-Eau Claire’s Tate McDermott, and UW-Platteville’s Seth Aiken and Alex Wano. UW-Platteville’s Ethan Dietrich earned third team honors, while UW-Whitewater’s Hayden Saul achieved fourth team recognition.

Donovan has been honored as an all-region player for the fourth time in his career, whereas Gutzwiller was recognized as a second team player last year.
