The Texas High School Coaches Association has just revealed their 202425 Super Elite All-State Teams for team tennis, water polo, and cross country, and Boerne Champion had four athletes honored across two different sports.
In water polo, only 20 athletes – 10 boys and 10 girls – from throughout the state were selected.
On the boys’ side, Charger Will Harrison earned a spot on the Water Polo 5A Super Elite Team, while Cayden VanDyne was recognized on the Girls Water Polo 5A Super Elite Team after both contributed to their teams’ advancement to the UIL state tournament, where they secured bronze medals.
In cross country, even fewer athletes receive Super Elite distinctions in each classification, but the Chargers had two athletes recognized, one from the girls’ team and one from the boys’ team.
Charlie Houck was among only seven runners selected for the Boys 5A Super Elite Cross Country Team after he finished fourth at this year’s state cross country competition, while Elizabeth Leachman was included in the Girls 5A Super Elite Cross Country Team after she claimed the 5A individual title at this year’s state meet in November.
