The women’s competition was highly competitive as all the anticipated contenders progressed to the quarterfinals. Dalmasso eliminated the quickest qualifier Tsubaki Miki (JPN) in the semifinals in a nail-biting photo finish. Miki then clinched victory in the small final, extending her podium appearances to three out of three this season. She rises to second place in the overall rankings while aiming for her inaugural win of the season.
Dalmasso subsequently triumphed over Sabine Payer (AUT) in an exhilarating big final. Payer had an impressive outing, securing second place after defeating Julie Zogg (SUI) in the semifinals. Payer now tops the overall standings for the season.
Defending overall champion Ramona Theresia Hofmeister (GER) landed in fifth place. The German athlete was defeated in the quarterfinals by Gloria Kotnik (SLO) on Saturday in another surprising outcome, finishing fifth overall. Kotnik finished in fourth place for the day.
