Bloomfield Hills triumphed over Troy, 78-68, last Friday at Troy high school, marking an impressive 3-0 start to their season. This matchup was part of an OAA Crossover series, with Bloomfield Hills now having bested three OAA teams so far this year.

Da’Ron Mason was the standout performer with 27 points, while Carter Canfield contributed 15, Carter Hartfield scored 12, and Brennan Bies added 11 points for Bloomfield Hills.

Troy mounted a strong effort in the fourth quarter, tallying 31 points to narrow the gap. Mason Parker led Troy’s scoring with 24 points, nine of which came in the final quarter. With this result, Troy’s record drops to 2-1.

Additional boys games

Detroit Cody 50, Detroit Crockett Midtown 26: Bryce People shined with 20 points for Detroit Cody (1-1). Gary Humphries chipped in 16 points for Cody, while Moses Sekou netted 12 for Detroit Crockett Midtown (0-2).

Detroit Douglass 70, Detroit Northwestern 29: Jeremiah Thurman was the game leader with 22 points, Donte Burks added 18 points along with 12 rebounds and five blocks, and Joel Johnson recorded 10 points with 10 rebounds for Douglass (1-2, 1-0 PSL Gold). Northwestern’s record is now 0-2, 0-1.

Detroit Pershing 72, Detroit University Prep Art & Design 52: Troy Patterson was the top scorer with a remarkable 36 points, while Zion Gadson notched a double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds for Pershing (2-0). Art & Design remains winless at 0-2.

Walled Lake Northern 47, Walled Lake Western 35: Jack Cooper led his team with 20 points and Stone Seyburn contributed 14 for Walled Lake Northern (2-0). Gavin Roberts scored 10 points for Walled Lake Western (0-2).

Farmington Hills Mercy 63, Warren Regina 34: Aidlyn Albanese led the scoring with 23 points for Farmington Hills Mercy (1-0). Emily Walker added 17 points, while Emersen Holder and Sara Wilking both scored 11 points for Warren Regina (1-1).

Plymouth 39, Woodhaven 24: Annie Flavin put up 12 points for Plymouth (3-0). Izzy Krause added eight, while Mackenzie Dicken scored six. For Woodhaven (0-2), Spencer Davidson netted nine points.
