Doha, Qatar – On Saturday, December 6, Kristen Nuss and Taryn Kloth claimed their second world championship, reaffirming their status as one of the top beach pairs in the nation.

The TKN duo has enjoyed a successful run on the AVP circuit following the 2024 Olympics. They triumphed at the Manhattan Beach Open, secured second place at the AVP Chicago Main Draw, and were among just eight pairs in the U.S. to qualify for the inaugural AVP League.

Nuss and Kloth have a proven track record in beach volleyball. During their tenure at LSU, they established themselves as the premier college beach pair in the country, finishing with an impressive 36-0 record on Court 1, frequently winning in commanding style. By season’s end, Nuss had amassed 139 wins, making her the all-time winningest college beach volleyball player, while Kloth wrapped up her college career with an incredible 49 consecutive victories.

After their collegiate success, Kloth and Nuss swiftly transitioned to their professional pursuits, forming their TKN team. They enjoyed a remarkable rookie season on the AVP Tour, making their impact felt right away by winning their first AVP Gold Series event at the 2021 Atlanta Open after advancing through the qualifying rounds. In 2021, they earned recognition as AVP Co-Rookies of the Year, with Nuss also being named AVP Defender of the Year. They continued their winning ways, capturing three more AVP events in 2022, the only pair on tour to achieve multiple victories that year. In 2023, the duo was honored as AVP Women’s Team of the Year, while Nuss took home the titles of AVP Most Valuable Player and Defender.

“We’re so thrilled for Taryn and Kristen to defend their World Tour Finals Championship,” remarked head coach Russell Brock. “For their first major international tournament post-Olympics, I couldn’t be prouder of their performance. They truly deserve to be standing on the top step of those podiums!
