The Neuqua Valley girls bowling team faced off against Naperville Central at Lisle Lanes.   Last year’s contest resulted in a 93-pin victory for Neuqua as both squads aimed for an early DVC triumph. This highlight is brought to you by BMO.

Neuqua girls bowling heats up against Naperville Central

Neuqua kicks off the game strong with Aniya Emerson executing a perfect shot in the pocket, resulting in the day’s first strike as the pins tumble down.  

On the same lane, teammate Chanel Edwards also targets the pocket, knocking down the pins for a strike.  Edwards opens her day with a score of 175 in game one.  

The Redhawks respond as Ro Sweakauski sends it straight down the middle, causing pins to scatter for the strike.  Olive O’Boyle is also on the same lane, and although she takes a Brooklyn shot, she manages to knock down the 5 pin for a strike. Sweakauski finishes with a series of 283 while O’Boyle wraps up with a total of 361.  

Returning to the Wildcats, Khushi Patel slides this ball accurately, sending pins flying for a notable 330 series finish.  

Naperville Central falls to Neuqua in an early DVC showdown

The Redhawks get into the spare game as Maddie Davila aims for the mark and converts by knocking down the 3-pin. She later adds a 1-2-4-7 spare to her achievements, ending her day with a solid 367 series.  

Lizzie Atkins also makes a contribution for Central, her gentle roll enough to take down the five and eight pins, keeping her team in contention.  

Neuqua continues with more strikes as Surina Merai hits her target, managing to topple the seven-pin for a conversion. Beside her, Suhana Merchant approaches with a strong shot that trips the 10-pin. Both bowlers add their corner pin magic to Neuqua’s efforts.  

Central fights back for additional spares with Alice Cecil who crosses lanes to pick up a 4-7 split spare, keeping the Redhawks morale high.  However, Neuqua finishes strong as Erin Scott’s fast throw clears the pins for a strike, contributing to her 361 series. Additionally, Chanel Edwards secures another strike for an impressive leading series of 459. Neuqua Valley wins the match by 352 pins, securing the DVC victory.
