“You would never imagine in your right mind to construct
a wave pool in Waco!”
Emotions are running high this morning, in the
San Joaquin Valley after the renowned artificial wave in the entire
United States, Kelly Slater’s Surf Ranch situated on the
periphery of Lemoore, was positioned lower than Waco Surf in Waco, Texas on
energy drink titan Red Bull’s eagerly awaited Top 8 Best Wave Pools for
Surfing in the US compilation.
Though savored by a variety of ultra-celebrities such as
Diplo, Duke Harry Montecito, Doja Cat, Ivanka Trump, and host
of numerous World Surf League Championship Tour events, Surf Ranch
could not surpass Waco and its peculiar background of brain-eating
amoeba.
“There’s a vibrant surf community in the heart of Texas,” Red
Bull’s Jamie O’Brien asserted with pride, aggravating Lemoore’s open wound. “You would never think in your right mind to
construct a wave pool in Waco!”
Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon secured third place, poised to eclipse
“The Plow” with its pricing of $1,300 for 100 waves.
Great Wolf Lodge claimed fourth spot thanks to its “Wolf Rider Wipeout
Indoor Surf Simulator,” while Revel Surf in Mesa, Arizona took fifth,
and two distinct FlowRiders, one in Sandusky, Ohio, and the other in Erie,
Pennsylvania achieved sixth and seventh positions respectively.
Skudin Surf, the largest indoor tubing facility in the world, rounded out the
rankings at eighth.
Returning to Surf Ranch falling short against Waco Surf, do you think there is shock and disappointment within World Surf League offices?
The “Global Home of Surfing,” which acquired Kelly Slater Wave Co.
from the 11-time champion, has consistently claimed that its technology is the
most advanced globally. I can only assume sheiks in the Emirates will feel deceived
with their newly opened Kelly Slater Surf Ranch Abu Dhabi. A potential coup in an
already unstable region.
The surf tank rivalries are becoming starkly evident.
