MOUZ achieved a clean sweep over MIBR, winning 2-0 on Sunday during a Round 5 matchup, thereby avoiding elimination at the Perfect World Shanghai Major held in China.
MOUZ secured a 13-5 victory on Mirage and a 13-6 win on Nuke, advancing to take on The MongolZ in the quarterfinals of the playoff phase, where the top eight teams from the elimination round will compete for a grand prize of $500,000.
The playoff phase of the $1.25 million Counter-Strike 2 tournament kicks off on Thursday, with the grand final scheduled for December 15.
On the same day, HEROIC achieved a 2-1 victory against Natus Vincere, while FaZe Clan also triumphed over FURIA Esports with the same scoreline.
HEROIC notched a 13-3 win on Mirage and a 13-9 success on Ancient, sandwiched around a 13-5 defeat on Nuke. HEROIC will go up against G2 Esports in the quarterfinals.
FURIA began strongly with a 13-6 win on Inferno, but FaZe retaliated with a 13-9 victory on Dust II and a 13-10 win on Mirage. FaZe will face Team Vitality in the quarterfinals.
