NEW YORK (AP) — The NBA imposed a $35,000 penalty on San Antonio Spurs center Zach Collins on Saturday for displaying an inappropriate gesture on the court following his ejection.
Collins was dismissed with 9:07 left in the second quarter during the Spurs’ 140-113 defeat to Sacramento at home on Friday night. Upon returning to the bench, he turned and raised his middle finger at the referee.
Collins had received his third foul and subsequently two technical fouls. He ended the game with a total of two points.
