The inaugural flight of Delta Air Lines (DL) featured a unique LA28 Olympics livery, which serves to connect two cities that will host the Olympics.

The aircraft’s design is intentionally crafted to represent Los Angeles, the site of the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games, along with Brisbane, the future host of the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games. This branding underscores the international sports relationship between the two locations.

Delta Air Lines’ first flight DL93 touched down in Brisbane at 7:18 am, with a live global stream celebrating a major expansion in international routes. The festivities included a watch party in Los Angeles to honor the new connection.

The airline utilizes the Airbus A350-900 for the route, capable of accommodating 306 passengers with state-of-the-art travel features. Delta boasts a wide-reaching global presence, conducting over 4,000 flights daily to almost 280 destinations across six continents.

The Brisbane-Los Angeles route enables passengers to enjoy extensive connectivity via Delta’s upgraded hub in Los Angeles.

Travelers will have improved terminal amenities, featuring streamlined check-in procedures and state-of-the-art facilities.

Delta offers four unique cabin classes, including the sole premium economy option now available on the route between Brisbane and Los Angeles. This variety caters to a wide range of traveler needs and price points.

The Attracting Aviation Investment Fund of Queensland actively supports these new international flights.

This initiative seeks to enhance tourist spending in the state, acknowledging aviation’s crucial role in the economy.
