Through its Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) partnership, Medpace is empowering University of Cincinnati student-athletes with valuable resources, mentorship, and exposure to prepare them for success both in their sport and in their future careers.

The Medpace partnership, initiated in 2023, has grown into a model NIL collaboration.

Medpace, a global clinical research organization, based in Cincinnati, is on a mission to provide high-quality clinical research services. Its mission is to accelerate the global development of safe and effective medical therapeutics.

Because of this, their impact goes beyond research–as part of their commitment to community engagement, Medpace has extended its support to UC Athletics. By partnering with the university, Medpace is helping athletes leverage their personal brands to expand their professional opportunities.

Medpace brought together an impressive group of student-athletes from several UC sports to promote the company’s cutting-edge work, values, and culture while gaining valuable experience in marketing, branding, and professional networking.

The athletes chosen for this opportunity include Joleigh Crye (swimming and diving), Korbin Spencer (track and field), Carter Earls (baseball), Zeta Washington (volleyball), Juliette Laracuente-Huebner (track and field), Jillian Hayes (women’s basketball) and Dontay Corleone (football).

“As a future medical professional, I highly value integrity and honesty,” Laracuente-Huebner said. “Medpace has these same values, as they are a clinical research organization. This is what being in the medical field is all about, too, because without it, we are unable to serve our community and the future of medicine.”

The selection of these athletes was based not only on their athletic talent but also on their potential to represent both Medpace and UC Athletics with integrity and professionalism.

“Being a Medpace athlete has been an enriching experience,” Earls said. “From the consistent support of the Medpace team to the doors opened for personal and professional development, this partnership has shown me the importance of maintaining a network of people who genuinely want to see you succeed. I’m truly grateful for my experience being a Medpace athlete and look forward to the valuable skills and lessons I will continue to learn along this journey.”

Under the terms of the partnership, these athletes utilized their Name, Image, and Likeness to promote Medpace’s cutting-edge initiatives and career resources via their social media platforms. Their posts highlighted Medpace’s focus on innovation, the career opportunities it provides, and its dedication to supporting professional growth.

UC Athletics is all about giving student-athletes the tools and support they need to succeed, and Medpace plays a key role in advancing this mission. This collaboration is a perfect example of how business and athletics can work together to uplift the Cincinnati community and create opportunities for the next generation.

Through this partnership, Medpace is helping to shape future leaders, enabling student athletes to seize opportunities now and set themselves up for success for years to come.
