Tyler Guyton will get another chance to showcase his growth.

The Cowboys rookie took over at left tackle after Chuma Edoga exited Sunday’s game against Carolina with an injury. Edoga started the game in Charlotte, then was ruled questionable to return with an ankle injury in the second quarter.

Edoga was taken to the locker room shortly before the halftime break for further evaluation.

It’s been a rough rookie season for Guyton, who was Dallas’ 2024 first-round pick out of Oklahoma. The Cowboys want to see Guyton compete for his job with Edoga.

Cowboys coach Mike McCarthy recently indicated that Edoga would have been the Cowboys’ Week 1 starter at left tackle. Guyton is looking to show signs of promise with Edoga on the sidelines.
