MIAMI, Fla. – The University of Richmond’s women’s swimming and diving team competed at Biscayne Bay for the CSCAA College National Open Water Championship today. With a sixth-place team finish, junior Natalie Stuart led the Spiders.
Finishing in the top 20, Stuart finished at 1:07:28.43 at a 21:44 pace and placed 16th out of 108 participants.
Freshman Carys Edgar finished at 1:09.35.66 at a 22:25 pace to place 29th. Junior Katie Chignell placed 42ndat 1:10:02.60 at a 22:33 pace.
The Spiders return in the new year as they welcome Villanova to the Robins Center for Senior Day on Saturday, January 18 at 9 a.m.
