AVON, Ohio — The City of Avon turned out in a big way Sunday (Dec. 15) for a parade to celebrate Avon High School’s Division II Ohio High School Athletic Association Football Championship.

Avon defeated Cincinnati Anderson 20-13 on Dec. 5 at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium in Canton.

Avon High School is only the third team from Lorain County to win a state title in the OHSAA football playoff era (since 1972).
