LONG BEACH, Calif. – Long Beach State Women's Water Polo program has announced their 2025 schedule featuring a home tournament as well as three on the road. After an outstanding 2024 season with a 22-9 record and finishing second at the Big West Championships and ending tied in 6th for the program's highest final ranking since 2005, the Beach is back for another busy season. For the fourth year in a row, Long Beach State will host the Beach Invite to kick off the season. On January 18th the Ken Lindgren Aquatics Center will be busy where ten teams will play two games each with the Beach facing Ottawa and Concordia. The tournament will also feature USC, Loyola Marymount, CSUN, Cal State Fullerton, Biola, CMS and Cal State Monterrey Bay. The first test of the season will come during the Cal Cup where the Beach will face four Top 10 opponents as they play Fresno State and national champions UCLA on January 25th and the next day hosts California and wrapping the tournament against Stanford. Following the Cal Cup, Long Beach State will head to San Diego the following weekend to play at the Triton Invitational with opponents still to be announced. The Beach will face USC on the road for the first time since 2012 on February 15th. The Trojans are contenders for the national title with two Paris Olympics athletes on the squad. After facing USC, the Beach heads back to the Ken Lindgren Aquatics Center, hosting an elite Toronto club team before heading to Irvine for the last tournament of the season, the Barbara Kalbus Invitational. The Big West conference schedule begins on March 1 at home against UC Santa Barbara. The Beach will also host CSUN and UC San Diego. The team will travel to face Cal State Fullerton, Hawai'i, UC Davis and will close regular season with the Black and Blue Rivalry match at UC Irvine on April 17. For the first time since 2011 the Beach will host nine-time national champion, Stanford. The match against the Cardinal is set to close the home schedule on March 30. The Big West Championship will be held in Irvine starting on Friday, April 27 with all eight teams playing in a single-elimination format. The winner earns an automatic berth to the NCAA Championships to be held in Bloomington, Ind. in May.

LONG BEACH, Calif. – Long Beach State Women’s Water Polo program has announced their 2025 schedule featuring a home tournament as well as three on the road. After an outstanding 2024 season with a 22-9 record and finishing second at the Big West Championships and ending tied in 6th for the program’s highest final ranking since 2005, the Beach is back for another busy season.
