KENNESAW, Ga. – Kennesaw State’s Department of Athletics soared in the classroom during the fall semester with an overall 3.15 GPA and 12 of 16 teams earning a combined 3.0 or higher GPA. KSU Athletics had its highest number of Dean’s List honorees with 192 and its second-highest number of Presidential Scholars with 86.

“Our student-athletes continue to be successful in the classroom and on the field, and I am proud of their hard work,” said Associate Athletics Director for Student-Athlete Success Services (SASS) Dr. Randy Kennedy. “I also appreciate the support of our faculty, coaches and administration, and the hard work of the SASS staff as they support the academic success of our Owl student-athletes!”

A fantastic count of 300 (63%) student-athletes earned Top Flight Owl recognition where they earned a 3.0 or above GPA. The KSU softball team led all squads with a spectacular 3.68 GPA, including 91% of its team earning a 3.0 or higher GPA. Men’s golf achieved the highest GPA for a male sport with its 3.45 mark. Lacrosse had a notable accomplishment with its best fall GPA at 3.63.

Lacrosse was joined by women’s track and field with the most student-athletes that earned a 4.0 GPA. Lacrosse had 15 and women’s track totaled 14.
