Hamilton, Ontario – Football Ontario is currently seeking to fill two General Manager roles with the Team Ontario Flag Program. The organization is currently looking to fill both a Boys Flag and Girls Flag GM role.

Coaches are expected to collaborate and divide the responsibilities to complete all tasks as required.

2. ADMINISTRATION

1. Keeping a list of player contact information, collected from interest forms, recruitment events and ID Camps. Included in this information should be:

• Football Ontario Numbers, Sizes, Positions, Full name (for Team O travel purposes), Parent contact information

2. Ensure players and staff have all necessary resources, including travel details, accommodation arrangements, and equipment 
3. Work closely with Manager of Flag Football Development and Team Ontario Head Coaches to meet program goals.

3. COMMUNICATION

1. Create and implement a clear line of communication for the coaching staff (e.g., WhatsApp) to share information between Football Ontario and the team’s parents, players and coaches

• Weekly communication/ updates with Football Ontario staff to identify concerns, questions
• Share Football Ontario documents with team (ensure players, parents and coaches have access)
  • Provide key points and summaries of documents (e.g., Event Technical Packages) for staff to review and ensure staff signs off on communication to acknowledge receipt

2. Create and post engaging content to promote Team Ontario, including updates, highlights, and announcements for all divisions

4. HIGH PERFORMANCE PATHWAY

1. Assist in organising team schedules and managing resources
2. Organize and attend virtual meetings and/or in-person sessions as required
3. Consult with Football Ontario to register team in tournaments outside of Football Canada events
4. Help develop and distribute emergency plans and protocols for team events

Recommended Qualifications

• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Experience or interest in social media content creation and management.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Passion for flag football and promoting women’s and men’s sports.
• Knowledge of Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive) is an asset.
• Previous experience in event planning or team coordination is a plus but not required.
• Ability to travel for training sessions and events is a plus bit not required.
