Missouri Tigers linebacker Brandon Lee (4) celebrates after returning an interception for a touchdown during the first half against the Vanderbilt Commodores at Vanderbilt Stadium.

Lee played on Lawrence Central’s 15-0 Class 5A state championship team in 2012. Then he played linebacker for Odom at Missouri from 2014-18. He became involved in several athlete leadership initiatives, including the SEC leadership council and the NCAA convention. He also represented the SEC on the NCAA Board of Governors Federal and State Legislation NIL Working Group from 2019-2020.

Purdue planned to hire both a general manager and assistant general manager for Odom’s first staff. The GM position has become a crucial one for managing the transfer portal, NIL matters and playing a role in high school recruiting.

Odom kept much of Purdue’s high school recruiting staff in place during the transition from Ryan Walters’ former staff. The program already picked up one major transfer commmitment on Thursday from former Arkansas quarterback Malachi Singleton.
