IRVINE — Sophomore Bridget Miller earned a spot on the All-Big West Water Polo Second Team, while sophomore Chelsea Johnson, redshirt junior Gianna Nocetti, sophomore Sadie Henry and senior Kelly Hungerford picked up honorable-mention titles.
After the 2024 season, Johnson and Miller were named to the All-Big West Freshman squad, while Nocetti has a repeat offense with the honorable mention title; making it the second year in a row that the trio earns conference nods. This is Hungerford’s first award after her knockout curtain closing season, and Henry’s first title as well.
The center from Ladera Ranch, California put up some impressive stats for the Aggies, posing as a consistent threat in the water to the other teams. Miller led the team in goals with 47 on the season, and added 8 assists, 15 steals, and drew a whopping 57 exclusions. She totaled up fifteen multi-goal games of the 28 played, scoring 4 against Cal Baptist, UC Merced, and Cal State Fullerton. A marksman in her craft, Miller has maintained a perfect shooting rate in the game five times this season as well.
Hungerford, originally rooted from Santa Ana, California, led the team in assists with 47 on the season; also breaking the Davis career assist record, now crowned at the top with 154. She has also put up 20 goals, 45 steals, 14 drawn kickouts, and 14 field blocks. Hungerford had a monumental game versus UC Irvine, where she found the back of the net five times and added two assists to her stat line in the one game alone. She aided her teammates’ offense and made five assists on two separate occasions: versus Pacific and Cal State Monterey and has had five multi-goal games this season.
From Carmichael, California, Nocetti is notorious for her sprint winning and relentless attacker for the Aggies. With 38 goals on the season, she balanced that with 29 assists, 30 steals, 10 drawn exclusions, and five field blocks. She won 72 sprints for the Aggies, with an 86% success rate to begin the quarters off with a victory. She registered multi-goal game streaks on three separate occasions for the team and put up a season-high of four goals against Loyola Marymount.
Henry, the San Diego native is second behind Miller in goals with 44 to her name. The feisty attacker has also generated the wheel of offense for the Aggies with 9 assists, 51 drawn ejections, and has added 13 steals and 7 field blocks. She has logged five hat tricks on the season, four of which are coupled up in back-to-back matches. She has had 11 multi-goal games on the season, and has scored a career-high of five against Loyola Marymount. Most notably at the Triton Invite, she netted 14 goals across the four games the Aggies competed in.
Finally, from Brisbane, Australia, Johnson was the starting defender for the Ags, trusted to lead the team in minutes played with 582. Elevating her game beyond the defensive end, she has made 26 goals, 32 assists, 42 steals, 35 drawn ejections, and five field blocks. She tallied up tow hat tricks, one against Loyola Marymount and one against Stanford. She made a season’s best of four steals versus USC, showing off her ability to play both ends of the pool.
Miller is the 17th in Aggie history to make the second team’s roster, while the quartet of honorable mentions total the count up to 28.
Women’s tennis
SAN DIEGO — The Big West released its Women’s Tennis All-Conference Team on May 1, with three Aggies — Mika Ikemori, Daisy Maunupau and Solia Valentine — making the list.
Ikemori was named to the second team for singles, as well as the first team along with her partner Maunupau, for doubles. Valentine was given recognition on the honorable-mention list for singles from the Big West.
Maunupau and Ikemori are a new pairing this season, but fell into a good rhythm quickly. They are tied for the second-most wins in doubles throughout the Aggie lineup with an overall record of 10-5. Playing solely in the number one doubles spot, this pair helped the team clinch many doubles points throughout the season. Notably, in the first round of the Big West Championships, in their match against UC San Diego. This is Maunupau’s first All-Big West Conference Team recognition.
Ikemori repeated her success after landing on the All-Big West Second Team for singles and doubles just a season ago. She is the third leader in the number of singles wins on the season with an overall record of 10-11. Ikemori was named Big West Player of the Week this season after her number-one singles and doubles win against Oregon’s nationally ranked players. Playing exclusively in the number one singles spot, Ikemori contributed to many wins for the Aggies all season.
Newcomer Solia Valentine earned her starting spot and quickly became an essential part of the Aggie lineup. Starting at number two singles, Valentine is tied for the second-most number of wins in singles matches for the Aggies with an overall record of 10-14. As one of three seniors, she has contributed experience and support to the Aggies all season long.
Men’s tennis
SAN DIEGO — The Big West released its Men’s Tennis All-Conference Team on May 1, with four Aggies — Lucas Bolinger, Ryan Torres, Ivan Savkin and Kaveh Taheri — making the cut.
Bollinger, Torres, and Taheri were named to the first and second teams for singles. Savkin and Torres made the first team in doubles, and Bollinger and Taheri made the second team as a pair. Lastly, Kaveh Taheri was named Freshman of the Year for the conference.
After landing on the All-Big West Honorable Mention a season ago for doubles, Bollinger has taken a leap, making it onto the First Team for singles in his junior season. In a year full of consistent starts, he led the team in most singles wins throughout the entire year. Bollinger mostly played number two singles but was bumped up twice to number one, winning both matches.
Three years after being named Co-Freshman of the Year, Torres finds himself on the All-Big West First Team for singles for the first time in his career. Playing number one singles, Torres has an overall record of 6-9 this season. As one of two seniors on the team, his leadership throughout the year has been invaluable to the team.
Savkin and Torres have been together for two years and have earned their second All-Big West First Team as a pair. Playing only with each other all year, the pair leads the team in doubles wins with an overall record of 11-7. Switching between number one and two doubles, the pair helped secure the Aggies an eight-match winning streak and the third seed at the Big West Championships.
Newcomer Kaveh Taheri earned his starting spot and quickly became an essential part of the Aggie lineup. Starting at number three singles, Taheri has the second most number of wins in singles matches for the Aggies with an overall record of 10-5. He has clinched wins for the Aggies multiple times throughout the season, which helped lead to the team’s overall success.
Bollinger and Taheri were a new pairing this season, but found a way to click swiftly. Also switching between number one and two singles, this pair has an overall record of 9-8. Bollinger and Taheri have helped secure many doubles points throughout the season, with the second-most wins in doubles on this Aggie team.
Beach volleyball
SANTA MONICA — UC Davis senior Kylie Miller earned a spot on the All-Big West Beach Volleyball Second Team, the conference announced Thursday.
Miller received the honor after a standout season playing in the number one spot for the Aggies, helping UC Davis secure a big 3-2 victory against Oregon on Mar. 29. This marks Miller’s third career All-Big West honor.
She finishes the season 13-14 overall, with over 65 career wins. Along with her partner Tabitha Mitchell, she went undefeated in many weekends throughout the season. She showcased her skill, helping the Aggies advance into bracket play of the Big West Championships in Santa Monica, Calif.
Miller showcased her skill, determination, and unwavering commitment to elevating her team when it mattered most. This marks a significant achievement in her collegiate career, further solidifying her place among the conference’s elite players.
Lacrosse
IRVING, Texas — The Big 12 released its lacrosse all-conference teams on April 30, with three Aggies making the cut. Graduate student Alex Agnew and senior Ally Richardson-Pepper made their way onto the All-Big 12 Team while freshman Jane Fox was tabbed as a unanimous selection on the All-Newcomer Team.
Agnew lands on an all-conference team for the second time in her career, previously earning All-MPSF honors in the Aggies final season in the conference back in 2021. After missing all of last season to an ACL injury, Agnew has been an offensive force for the team, leading the Aggies in both assists (32) and points (58). She also ranks third on the team in goals with 26.
2025 has also been a year of many personal milestones for Agnew, including playing alongside her sister Tory for the first time and topping the programs all-time assist list in a matchup against Oregon back on March 1. Currently, she sits at 125 career assists, 29 ahead of second place.
In a March 22 matchup against San Diego State, she tied a career-high ten points in a five-goal, five-assist showing against the Aztecs. For her efforts, she was named the Big 12’s Attack Player of the Week for Week 7.
In the Big 12, Agnew also sits in the top ten of multiple offensive categories, including being ranked fourth in assists per game with 2.12 and sixth in points per game with 3.87.
Emerging as the team’s primary starter this season, Richardson-Pepper has been sturdy in net all year, starting and playing every minute for the Aggies while ranking first in the Big 12 in saves per game with 11.20.
Throughout the season, Richardson-Pepper has etched herself into the program’s record book, putting up 20 saves against Colorado and 18 against Florida for the second and third-most, respectively, all-time in a single game.
In addition to her goalkeeping responsibilities, Richardson-Pepper has also been a key contributor to the defensive unit, picking up 14 ground balls and causing two turnovers throughout the season. These performances have led to a number of personal accolades for Richardson-Pepper, including being named the conference’s Goalkeeper of the Week following Week 9 and the Defensive Player of the Week in Week 11.
Joining the Aggies from Baltimore last fall, Fox lands on the Big 12 All-Newcomer Team as a unanimous selection after a 13-goal, five-assist freshman campaign.
In the team’s season-opener against Cal on February 8, Fox had a strong debut for the Aggies, scoring the team’s first goal while putting together a three-goal, one-assist hat trick. Currently, she’s tied for fifth on the team in both goals and total points.
