CHARLOTTE POWELL, Santa Paula: The senior goalie played a big role in the Cardinals’ historic season. The team captain finished the season with 298 saves, 29 steals and 10 assists. Powell made 73 saves during the CIF-SS Division 5 playoffs, which started with Santa Paula earning its first postseason in program history and ended with the Cardinals reaching the championship game for the first time. The All-Citrus Coast League first-team selection was named to the All-CIF-SS Division 5 first team.PAYTON STEEN, Rio Mesa: The senior goalie finished the season with more than 300 saves while scoring more than 20 goals and assisting on more than 60 scores. Steen was selected to the second team of the always competitive Channel League.MIA FABROS, Oaks Christian: The junior attacker scored 15 of her 74 goals in the CIF-SS Open Division playoffs, leading the Lions to the school’s first Open title in any sport. Fabros had six goals to spark the Lions’ comeback in a 12-11 overtime win over Mater Dei in the semifinals. She finished the season with 74 goals, a team-leading 71 assists and a team-leading 44 steals. She was named the co-MVP of the Marmonte League and the CIF-SS Open Division. A Cadet National team player, Fabros is being recruited by Stanford, USC, Harvard and Princeton.The junior attacker scored 15 of her 74 goals in the CIF-SS Open Division playoffs, leading the Lions to the school’s first Open title in any sport. Fabros had six goals to spark the Lions’ comeback in a 12-11 overtime win over Mater Dei in the semifinals. She finished the season with 74 goals, a team-leading 71 assists and a team-leading 44 steals. She was named the co-MVP of the Marmonte League and the CIF-SS Open Division. A Cadet National team player, Fabros is being recruited by Stanford, USC, Harvard and Princeton.SOFIA BOCCALATTE, Agoura: The senior capped her career by compiling 32 goals, 41 assists, 37 steals, and 25 drawn exclusions as the Chargers finished second in the Marmonte League and qualified for the CIF-SS Division 1 playoffs. Boccalatte was named to the Marmonte League second team for the second straight year.CELIA YOUNG, Ventura: The senior earned All-Channel League first-team honors for the second straight season and was selected to the All-CIF-SS Division 1 second team after finishing the season with 98 goals, 41 assists and 32 steals. A team captain and team’s leading scorer, Young is being recruited by several schools, including Pomona.ABIGAIL KIM, Agoura: The senior had 102 goals, 42 assists, 38 steals, and 55 drawn exclusions to cap her sensational high school career. She was named to the All-Marmonte League team for the third straight season after leading the Chargers to a second-place finish in league and a berth in the CIF-SS Division 1 playoffs.ADDISON BRUNO, Buena: The junior attacker had 101 goals, 113 assists, 72 steals and 87 drawn exclusions. Bruno was selected to the All-Channel League first team after helping the Bulldogs take third in the league tournament. She earned All-CIF-SS Division 2 second-team honors after Buena reached the quarterfinal round. She is also a standout swimmer.ASPEN ABERNATHY, Thousand Oaks: The junior finished the season with 79 goals, 56 assists, 60 steals, and 53 drawn ejections to help the Lancers win a share of the Coastal Canyon League championship — their first CCL title and first league title since 1998. Abernathy was named to the all-league first team for the second straight season and was selected to the All-CIF-SS Division 3 second team after Thousand Oaks advanced to the quarterfinal round.KIRA JONES, Thousand Oaks: The sophomore earned Coastal Canyon League MVP honors after leading the Lancers to a share of the league championship — their first CCL title and first league title since 1998. Jones set the school record for goals with 143 and field blocks with 34 while racking up 58 assists, 72 steals and 21 drawn exclusions. She was named to the All-CIF-SS Division 3 first team after Thousand Oaks reached the quarterfinals.ALEX STODDARD, Oaks Christian: The junior goalie finished with 135 saves despite missing half of the season, including 36 saves and four penalty blocks during the Lions’ run to their first CIF-SS Open Division title. Stoddard was named the co-MVP of the CIF-SS Open Division. She is being recruited by Stanford, UCLA, California, and Harvard.NICOLE O’NEILL, Oaks Christian: The junior attacker was instrumental in the Lions winning their first CIF-SS Open Division title. O’Neill scored seven goals, including the game-winning overtime goal in the semifinals, during Oaks Christian’s historic run. The Marmonte League co-MVP finished the season with 44 goals, a team-leading 59 earned ejections, and 41 steals (second on team). She was selected to the All-CIF-SS Open Division first team.LEXI RICHARDSON, Camarillo: The sophomore attacker finished the season with 64 goals, 51 assists, 40 drawn ejections, and 22 steals. She was named to the All-Coastal Canyon League first team after leading the Scorpions to a share of the league championship.KIRRA FINK, Nordhoff: The senior helped the Rangers reach a CIF-SS championship game for the first time in program history. Fink scored 38 goals to lead the team while adding nine assists and 18 steals as Nordhoff made it all the way to the Division 6 final. She earned All-Citrus Coast League first-team honors. A 4.7 GPA student, she is also on the school’s swimming team.AVERY BUEHNER, Buena: The junior center finished the season with 151 goals, 26 assists, 74 steals, and 54 drawn exclusions. The All-Channel League second-team selection was named to the All-CIF-SS Division 2 first team after helping the Bulldogs finishing third in the league tournament and reach the playoff quarterfinals. Credle was named to the All-Marmonte League first team and chosen for the USA Water Polo Olympic Development Program.NATALIE REQUENA-BRODERICK, Agoura: The senior goalie finished the season with 231 assists, 24 assists, 21 steals and two goals while helping the Chargers take second in the Marmonte League and qualify for the CIF-SS Division 1 playoffs. After being named the league’s Goalie of the Year last season, Requena-Broderick was selected to the All-Marmonte League first team this season.KENNEDI REEDER, Newbury Park: The senior center had 121 goals, 61 steals, 48 drawn exclusions and seven assists and finished with nine blocks while playing goalie for a few games.
