Snowboarder Fakes Pond Skim With His 2

Spring skiing usually comes with one of the best events of the year: the pond skim. Ski areas build up a small pool for skiers and snowboarders to cross while attempting to avoid the frigid waters below. The events usually include some high-quality antics, goofy outfits, and a good crowd hoping to see some brutal crashes.

While some resorts judge based on speed and others judge based on tricks, it’s really whoever crosses the pond in the wildest way who deserves the most attention. This guy took the pond skim to an interesting place, deciding to trick the crowd into believing that he pond skimmed with his 2-year-old child. In reality he just made a foam replica and dressed it up like his kid.

It’s pretty easy to tell that he’s not actually snowboarding with a real child in the video, but you can imagine the concern some people had when he was doing it live. It’s probably not the best idea to pond skim with a 2-year-old, especially if you’re not going to make it all the way across…
