UFC 316 debutant Patchy Mix is supremely confident entering his first Octagon experience.
Former Bellator bantamweight champion Patchy Mix became the latest top free agent to sign with the UFC earlier this year. Just days away from his Octagon debut, Mix is ramping up the pre-fight theatrics against his upcoming rival.
Mix and Mario Bautista will clash in a highly-anticipated UFC 316 main card bout this Saturday in Newark. Mix’s addition to the stacked UFC bantamweight division is another intriguing element to the 135 lb title picture.
While the odds between Mix and Bautista are relatively thin entering UFC 316, Mix is taking this upcoming challenge like a tune-up fight.

Patchy Mix threatens to submit Mario Bautista’s whole team in scathing pre-fight comments
Before signing with the UFC, Mix was praised by many as arguably the greatest bantamweight in MMA, despite UFC 316 headliner Merab Dvalishvili having a greater level of competition. After Mix amassed early success with his elite grappling base, he’s turned into a well-rounded mixed martial artist, which is a nightmare for his rivals in the cage.
While Bautista enters UFC 316 on an impressive winning streak, his at-times sluggish style has irked UFC fans during his current run. Mix plans to exploit it when they meet in the Octagon this weekend.
In a recent episode of the UFC 316: Embedded series, Mix gave a scathing assessment of Bautista’s skillset while watching tape ahead of their fight.
“I will f— him up,” Mix declared.
“I’m a three-time world champion. This guy’s a journeyman fighter. I’ll submit him.
“And whoever’s teaching him Jiu-Jitsu, I’ll submit the whole crew.”

Bautista enters UFC 316 on a seven-fight win streak, including recent wins over UFC Hall of Famer Jose Aldo and Ricky Simon. His last submission win came against Guido Cannetti in March 2023.
Mix earned a slew of finishes during his Bellator/PFL tenure, including submissions of Magomed Magomedov and former Conor McGregor pupil James Gallagher. He hasn’t tasted defeat since a unanimous decision loss to Juan Archuleta at Bellator 246.
Patchy Mix’s debut is one of the biggest storylines of UFC 316
Mix is the latest in a slew of former Bellator/PFL standouts to make the move to the UFC Octagon. Earlier this year, former Bellator featherweight champ Patricio ‘Pitbull’ Freire made his UFC debut at UFC 314, albeit falling short on the judges’ scorecards against Yair Rodriguez.
But Mix’s debut is getting way more hype than Freire’s, and it’s comparable to when Kayla Harrison made her UFC debut at UFC 300 last year. Just two fights into her UFC tenure, Harrison will challenge for the women’s bantamweight title in the UFC 316 co-main event.
Dvalishvili has Mix on his radar with a win this Saturday at UFC 316. The two briefly trained together earlier this year, and are on the same page about a future showdown in the Octagon.

Former Bellator champion Patricio ‘Pitbull’ will reportedly face a surging featherweight star who recently called him out.
Patricio ‘Pitbull’ Freire will get the second chance at making a great first impression on UFC fans when he returns to the Octagon later this summer.
Pitbull’s UFC 314 promotional debut fell short against former title challenger Yair Rodríguez by unanimous decision. The loss snapped a four-fight featherweight unbeaten streak, stemming from his Bellator rematch victory over AJ McKee at Bellator 277.
After a tumultuous contract dispute with the PFL, Pitbull requested and was granted his release, leading to the all-time great signing with the UFC. While his UFC 314 debut was a formidable test, Pitbull’s second UFC shot isn’t a significant drop in competition.

Patricio ‘Pitbull’ set to potentially avenge UFC debut loss with second Octagon appearance
As reported on Tuesday, Pitbull will reportedly face UFC featherweight contender Dan Ige at UFC 318 in Chicago.
Brazilian MMA journalist Léo Guimaraes was the first to report the news of the Pitbull vs. Ige booking.
Ige returns to the Octagon after defeating Sean Woodson by controversial TKO at UFC 314. The win snapped a recent skid of losses in three of his previous four fights, including his hours’ notice defeat to Diego Lopes at UFC 303.
Ige is looking to get back into the featherweight title mix after recent victories against the likes of Nate Landwehr, Damon Jackson, and Andre Fili. The featherweight mainstay has developed into a UFC fan favorite since his appearance on Dana White’s Contender Series in 2017.
After his controversial win at UFC 314, Ige called out Pitbull for his next fight, praising the former Bellator two-division champion as a ‘legend’ in MMA. At the time of his Bellator departure, Pitbull was widely regarded as the greatest fighter in the promotion’s history.
MORE BLOODY ELBOW NEWS
Alexander Volkanovski rumored to face familiar foe for next featherweight title defense
If the Pitbull vs. Ige fight comes to fruition, the featherweight matchup will take place at a time of uncertainty atop the division. UFC featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski was originally expected to face Movsar Evloev after UFC 314, but the UFC reportedly has other plans for the undefeated Evloev’s next fight.
Rumors are spreading that Volkanovski will face Rodriguez for the first title defense of his second featherweight title reign later this year. Volkanovski finished Rodriguez in a featherweight title unification bout at UFC 290.
A matchup between Jean Silva and Lopes is also rumored for later this year, although nothing has been reported as of this writing. Silva called for a title shot after his finish against Bryce Mitchell at UFC 314.
Pitbull has the chance to catapult back into the featherweight title mix with an impressive performance against Ige.

Netflix has had a slew of successes translating the world of sports into compelling series with emotional storylines. Check out the very best titles across a wide range of professional leagues and competitions below.
This 40-minute documentary is a high-stakes snackable dose of sports drama that picks up in the wake of Lewis Hamilton’s shocking departure from the Mercedes F1 team after twelve years and six world champions, and follows 18-year-old Andrea Kimi Antonelli’s promotion to the most prestigious racing league in the world.
It’s a great supplement to Netflix’s Formula 1: Drive to Survive series which exploded the league’s popularity, and proved that the elite racing community could deliver as much drama as the Real Housewives. An excuse to see Mercedes Team Principal and F1 zaddy Toto Wolff in his crisp white button down is reason enough to queue this title up.
The riveting story of one woman’s journey to overcome gender stereotypes in rural Nepal and follow her dreams of becoming a professional mountaineer, achieving historic success summiting Mount Everest ten times, the current record for female climbers.
Spanning Sherpa’s life from childhood to motherhood, an abusive marriage, and her immigration to the United States, we see her perseverance and determination impact her life on and off the mountain. Thoughtful attention is paid to her Nepalese roots and the Sherpa culture, and her effort to impart both to two daughters as they grow up in Connecticut.
Following the massive success of Formula 1: Drive To Survive, Netflix took a stab at humanizing the world of professional golf. By following major names like Rory McIlroy, Justin Thomas, Scottie Scheffler and others on and off the course, the series was able to generate compelling suspenseful storylines around a sport without the fights, fouls, or impact of the NHL, NBA, or NFL.
The series explores player friendships and rivalries, the expanding diversity of the league, and the growing tension between the PGA-Tour and Saudi-funded LIV Golf league to provide a modern, nuanced, and evocative view on one of the world’s oldest modern sports.
A household name that simultaneous represents an international soccer career, a high-profile marriage, fashion icons, and pop culture sensations, this documentary literally has something for everyone familiar with the family whether you’re a sports fan or not.
The journey through Beckham’s career from childhood to present day was especially riveting for an American viewer like me who grew up in during his rise to fame and didn’t have previous knowledge of highs and lows, wins and losses. The game clips and interviews with Victoria Beckham and Sir Alex Ferguson felt like experiencing 30 years of sports and pop culture suspense at once.
The Drive To Survive team strikes once again with another behind the scenes series, this time focused on the world of international tennis. Featuring participation from ATP and WTA pros like Nick Kyrgios, Frances Tiafoe, Alexander Zverev, Aryna Sabalenka, Iga Świątek, and Coco Gauff, the series not only exhibited balanced coverage of men’s and women’s sports, but the physical and mental tolls of training.
Like it’s sister F1 and PGA series, Break Point focuses on the interpersonal relationships between pros, career highs and lows, as well as the immense pressure fame and media attention bring to competing at such an elite level.
The epic 10-part series covering the Chicago Bull’s 1997-98 NBA season as they pursued their sixth championship during Michael Jordan’s final season with the team, brought together over 500 hours of unseen footage, along with in-depth interviews with players, coaches, and other commentators.
The film also covers Jordan’s journey to super-stardom, along with his first retirement after his father’s murder, and pivot to pursue a career in baseball. As with the Beckham documentary, it provided an incredible opportunity for younger sports fans to relive the magic of not just an epic career, but an entire era of basketball.

UFC 316 fight week is here.
O’Malley vs. Dvalishvili 2
UFC 316 is Saturday, June 7 live from Newark, New Jersey. The headliner is a rematch for the UFC Batamweight Championship between the reigning champion, Merab Dvalishvili and the former champion, Sean O’Malley.
The two originally main evented Noche UFC, UFC’s first event in the Sphere arena. O’Malley walked in as champion that night, but did not walk out the same way. O’Malley did walk in with a labrum tear in his hip, that he did get fixed following that loss. Merab on the other hand, went on to successfully defend his title for the first time against the then undefeated Umar Nurmagomedov at UFC 311. Now, five months later, Merab is defending again against Sean in the highly-anticipated rematch.
Recently, O’Malley sat down for an interview with UFC commentator, Jon Anik. During the interview, Sean was asked what he thought of Merab’s defense against Umar, to which he admitted Merab is a beast.
Merab’s an animal, he’d a beast. He’s a- that last performance was very impressive, it was his most entertaining performance and yeah, he did a great job. Umar’s really good and Merab, it was a close fight, Merab kind of, you know, stole it there at the end.
O’Malley continued on to speak about his confidence and how he feels he can beat Merab and will show it Saturday night.
Yeah, I mean, I wouldn’t have… I wouldn’t accept the fight, I wouldn’t have asked for the fight if I didn’t truly believe I could go out there and beat him, I know I can. And I know I will June 7th.
When asked if he was emotionally attached to his first real loss when defeated by Dvalishvili in the first fight, Sean reveals that he now sees this as a new challenge.
I look at it as it’s an exciting challenge. Like, it’s not like something that bothers me throughout the day or like, if this fight ended up not happening ever, it’s not going to bug me. I know I’m better than him. I’m very grateful for the UFC for giving me the opportunity to go out there and fight him again. Same with the Chito thing, it took me three and a half years, I knew I could beat him. I knew there would be a time and a place and that happened. Felt very similar for this fight, I’m like “it’s going to happen sooner or later.” And it’s happening sooner and in very happy with that.
O’Malley seems to be very focused and confident in his abilities when the cage door locks. We’ll see what happens this Saturday night. You can check out the full interview below.

After two days of top-class table tennis, 1. FC Saarbrücken TT successfully defended their title at the 2025 HYLO Champions League Final 4. In the final held at Saarlandhalle Saarbrücken, the reigning champions overcame Borussia Düsseldorf in a repeat of last year’s decisive clash.
This marks Saarbrücken’s third consecutive title, further solidifying their dominance under the Final 4 format. Meanwhile, Borussia Düsseldorf—the most decorated club in the competition’s history—remains on six Champions League titles and six Europe Cup of Champions trophy.
In Saturday’s semifinals, Borussia Düsseldorf secured a convincing win over KS Dartom Bogoria Grodzisk Mazowiecki, while 1. FC Saarbrücken TT overcame Polish challengers KS Global Pharma Orlicz 1924 Suchedniów to book their place in the final.
1. FC Saarbrücken TT – Borussia Düsseldorf 3-1
Patrick FRANZISKA – Anton KALLBERG 2-3 (13-15, 8-11, 11-6, 11-7, 5-6)
Anton KÄLLBERG held off Patrick FRANZISKA’s fierce comeback from 0–2 down to win their duel by the sudden death point in the fifth game.
With a strong service-receive game, KÄLLBERG stormed to an early 5–0 lead. FRANZISKA responded with several pinpoint balls into the corners, narrowing the gap and reaching 7–8 from 4–8. KÄLLBERG earned the first game point at 7–10, but FRANZISKA, relying on a strong serve, leveled at 10–10. After saving two game points, the German had his own at 12–11, but it was KÄLLBERG who ultimately converted his fourth opportunity to take the game 15–13.
KÄLLBERG kept up the pressure early in the second game. At 3–1, Borussia called a timeout due to a minor injury to the Swede’s hand. FRANZISKA leveled the score at 3–3 as they returned to the table. The game remained even until 7–7, but in the closing moments, KÄLLBERG capitalized on his first real opening and sealed it 11–8.
With the pressure mounting, FRANZISKA shifted the momentum. He raced to a 6–1 lead in the third game, pushed further to 8–3, and eventually closed it 11–6 on his second game ball. The tide had clearly turned. A 5–1 lead in the fourth game sparked loud cheers from the crowd. KÄLLBERG kept his composure and leveled at 5–5, then 6–6, but FRANZISKA surged ahead once more to 9–6 and closed the game 11–7 to force a decider.
In the decisive fifth game, FRANZISKA led 5–3, but KÄLLBERG stayed calm under pressure and ultimately delivered the first point of the match for Borussia Düsseldorf.
“We had so many matches going back and forth. I think after the second game, Patrick really started to play better. We had great rallies, but I couldn’t finish them. In the end, it’s the one with better nerves that matters,” said KÄLLBERG.
Truls MOREGARD – Dang QIU 3-0 (11-7, 11-4, 11-7)
In a match that appeared one-sided from the outset, Truls MOREGARD nullified Borussia’s early advantage and brought the tie back to level terms.
The Swede claimed the opening game without much trouble and maintained the same tempo, closing the second game even more convincingly. In the third, Dang QIU came close at 6–7, but after a timeout, Truls showed no signs of weakness.
“Against QIU, it’s important to be as aggressive as possible. You can’t afford mistakes—you have to do everything right if you want to beat him. I felt good and played well. My service worked fine too,” said MOREGARD.

Darko JORGIC – Timo BOLL 3-2 (17-15, 8-11, 11-7, 2-11, 6-1)
In his final appearance in the Champions League, Timo BOLL delivered a vintage performance, pushing Darko JORGIC to his limits in a fantastic match that showed his enduring class. Although the Slovenian ultimately prevailed, it was a gripping battle throughout.
JORGIC came out firing in the opening game, combining power and precision to establish a 7–4 lead. BOLL responded with composure, saving a game point at 9–10 and creating five of his own. Still, under pressure, Darko held firm and converted his second game point to take the lead.
The second game saw BOLL come out in dominant fashion. He raced to a 7–2 lead and earned his first game point at 10–4. Though JORGIC mounted a brief comeback, BOLL closed it out 11–8.
The third game was a rollercoaster. JORGIC led 5–1, but BOLL fought back to level at 5–5. However, JORGIC held his nerve and finished strong to win 11–7.
In the fourth, BOLL took full control, overwhelming JORGIC with his aggressive play and forcing a decider.
The fifth game began with JORGIC delivering outstanding serves, quickly pulling ahead 3–0. He maintained the momentum and eventually sealed the victory, ending a memorable contest against one of table tennis’s true legends.
Patrick FRANZISKA – Dang QIU 3-2 (11-6, 2-11, 11-6, 7-11, 6-5)
In the clash between two players who had both lost their opening encounters, Patrick FRANZISKA made the better start, but Dang QIU responded with intensity. The momentum shifted again in the third game, as FRANZISKA regained control, racing to a 5–0 lead and maintaining a safe margin to close out the game.
QIU, however, did not back down. With a commanding performance, he forced a decider.
In the fifth game, QIU started strongly, taking a 3–0 lead. The hosts called a timeout, and upon returning to the table, FRANZISKA won the next two points. QIU recovered quickly to earn match point at 5–2, but it was FRANZISKA who ultimately claimed the victory on a sudden death point.

How Prime Video in June 2025 Compares to Other Streaming Services
Prime Video’s June 2025 lineup showcases significant competitive advantages in content variety and subscription value compared to other major platforms, while also introducing new membership options that address recent customer concerns about advertising.
Prime Video vs Netflix and Disney+
Prime Video enters June 2025 with the largest movie catalog compared to rivals, making it an attractive option for film enthusiasts. The platform plans to add over 50 new Prime-exclusive titles in June alone, including the highly anticipated action comedy “Deep Cover” and crime thriller series “Countdown.”
Netflix continues to dominate in original series production but offers fewer new theatrical releases than Prime. Their June lineup focuses heavily on international content, with fewer blockbuster additions compared to Prime’s slate.
Disney+ maintains its stronghold on family content and franchise properties, but lacks the diverse adult-oriented selection found in Prime’s June catalog. The motorsports documentary arriving on Prime will directly compete with Disney’s sports content expansion through ESPN+.
For viewers prioritizing content variety and new releases, Prime Video’s June lineup provides exceptional value, especially considering it comes bundled with other Prime benefits.
Features Compared: Ad-Free Options and New Membership Plans
Prime Video introduced a significant change to its service model in early 2025, now including ads in its default streaming version. Users can opt for an ad-free experience by paying an additional $3 monthly fee.
This pricing structure positions Prime Video favorably against competitors:
Service | Base Price | Ad-Free Option | Total Ad-Free Cost |
---|---|---|---|
Prime Video | Included with Prime | +$3/month | $14.99 (Prime) + $3 |
Netflix | $11.99 (Basic) | Included in higher tiers | $15.49-$22.99 |
Disney+ | $9.99 (With ads) | $13.99/month | $13.99 |
The new membership tiers introduced in May 2025 will continue through June, offering more flexible options for accessing Prime Video’s content. These include a standalone video-only subscription that doesn’t require a full Prime membership.
Customer response to the ad implementation has been mixed, with some users noting that Prime Video’s ad breaks are shorter than those on competitors’ platforms.
Prime Membership Benefits and Support
Prime Video remains unique among streaming services as it’s essentially a bonus added to Amazon’s free shipping service. This bundling continues to provide exceptional value for regular Amazon shoppers.
The complete Prime membership includes numerous benefits beyond streaming:
- Free expedited shipping
- Prime Music access (limited catalog)
- Prime Reading
- Prime Gaming
- Exclusive shopping events
Amazon has enhanced its customer support for Prime Video issues following feedback from May 2025. Members can now request prorated refunds for service interruptions directly through the app.
Technical improvements implemented in late May will carry over to June, including enhanced mobile streaming quality and improved integration with MX Player for Android users in select markets.
For those who use Prime Video primarily for its included content rather than rentals or purchases, the June 2025 lineup significantly strengthens the overall value proposition of a Prime membership.
