With more than 115 operating locations, this Pilates franchise uses technology to replicate performance and precision at every studio
To change the way the world works out is no small mission, and Studio Pilates International is no small brand. With over 115 locations across six countries and more than 70 additional studios in development, Studio Pilates is one of the fastest-growing boutique Pilates franchises in the world.
And at the center of its operational infrastructure is Mindbody.
“Mindbody has been a key pillar in our growth,” said Jade Winter, Co-Founder and CEO of Studio Pilates. “Its scalability and global infrastructure allow us to open new locations across multiple countries while keeping the client experience premium and consistent.”
That consistency is critical for a brand rooted in precision, performance and client care. Known for its 40-minute, science-based reformer workouts designed by physical therapists, Studio Pilates is laser-focused on delivering measurable results and an elevated experience across every location. As the franchise expands internationally, digital systems that can keep pace with that growth are essential.
A Platform Built for Expansion
One of the biggest differentiators for Studio Pilates is its ability to replicate excellence across continents. Winter credits Mindbody’s Corporate Dashboard with making that possible.
“The development of the Mindbody Corporate Dashboard tool has been a gamechanger for us as we’ve grown as a franchise,” he says. “We track performance at every level — by studio, by instructor and by class. This gives us real-time visibility into what’s working and where support is needed, which is critical as we grow.”
As Studio Pilates scales, its operational efficiency must keep pace. Mindbody enables the brand to centralize functions while giving individual franchisees the tools they need to succeed locally. Winter points to Mindbody Payments as an example.
“It’s a feature that has solved a key pain point for us,” he explains. “The ability to have each location’s merchant account directly integrated into their site has increased transparency, support, and accessibility at both a HQ and local level.”
In a global franchise model, small inefficiencies can quickly compound. But Winter says Mindbody’s automation, ease of use and customizable tools help prevent those issues before they start.
The result? Tangible business outcomes that reflect those behind-the-scenes efficiencies. Since beginning its franchising journey, Studio Pilates has reported consistent double-digit year-on-year growth. Studios now average hundreds of weekly visits, and many top-performing locations exceed 1,000 weekly check-ins.
“All of that is tracked, measured and optimized through Mindbody,” said Winter.
From member acquisition to retention, Studio Pilates has built its operational model on performance data.
“Data drives everything for us, and Mindbody plays a significant role in ensuring this information is at our fingertips,” Winter said. “For a global network like ours, having that kind of visibility — down to individual instructor or client behavior — is an absolute must. It allows us to stay agile, identify trends early, and constantly level up our performance.”

Studio Pilates operates one of the only centralized instructor training academies in the fitness franchise space, ensuring that every instructor (regardless of country) is held to the same clinical, physical therapist-developed standards.
Studio Pilates has also reimagined what scalable instruction looks like. With its proprietary SPTV system, each studio is equipped with multi-screen video and audio guidance giving clients clear, high-quality exercise demonstrations, while freeing up instructors to provide hands-on coaching. The result: the personal feel of one-on-one training in a group setting.
“Our programming meets clients exactly where they are,” Winter explained. “Whether you’re brand new to fitness or training for something elite, our format adapts seamlessly. That flexibility has been a key factor in driving high studio occupancy and client retention.”
Advice for Operators
When asked what advice he’d offer other fitness operators evaluating software platforms, Winter didn’t hesitate.
“Choose a platform that’s future-proofed, one that will grow with you, not limit you. Too many operators make decisions based on what they need right now, rather than where they want to be in five years,” he said.
That long-term thinking extends to the day-to-day functionality and ease of use — key traits Winter says are often overlooked, but critical for scaling.
“Look for software that’s intuitive for frontline staff, customizable for franchise or multi-site needs, and data-rich enough to support smart decisions. Automation, and user experience matter more than most people realize. Your software should reduce friction, not create it.”
He also emphasizes the value of true partnership with a tech provider. “We treat Mindbody like an extension of our HQ team. That mindset has made a huge difference.”
With its proprietary tech and data-driven operations, Studio Pilates is poised for continued expansion. And as Winter sees it, that future will be built on the same operational backbone that helped them get this far.
“Our mission is simple: to change the way the world works out,” he said. “Mindbody gives us the tools to scale without sacrificing quality, and that’s been fundamental to our success.”
