ESTONIA

Top-seeded Maret Kuuse & Laura Liisa Maiste earned the women’s gold at the Paide stop on Estonia’s Rannavolle Suvetuur. They claimed a hard-fought 2-1 (21-19, 18-21, 15-11)     victory over Lithuania’s Vlada Oganauskiene & Lilija Firinovic in the final. The bronze went to Raili Hunt & Marie Pohlak, who achieved a 2-0 (21-14, 21-16) upset of third-seeded Keira Liina Lukas & Sandra Lepp in the third-place match.

Women’s results and standings

Men’s bracket leaders Kusti Nolvak & Rasmus Meius also celebrated gold in Paide after a 2-1 (22-20, 17-21, 15-10) win over second-seeded Urmas Piik & Sander Steinberg in the final. Wild cards Kristo Kollo & Karl Jaani took a 2-0 (21-17, 21-14) victory over Joosep Poldma & Rauno Tamme in the bronze medal game.

FRANCE

Saintes welcomed a women’s stop on the France Beach Volley Series. Julie De Vathaire & Faustine Blondeau topped the podium after a 2-0 (21-16, 21-16) upset of top-seeded Naty Molinos & Lucile Colin in the final. In the third-place match, the mixed Polish-American pairing of Aleksandra Wachowicz & Violeta Slabakova defeated second-seeded Maeva Guignan & Emere Maau-Boutry by a hard-fought 2-1 (21-16, 23-25, 16-14) to snatch the bronze.

GERMANY

Munich hosted a stop on the 2025 German Beach Tour. Second-seeded Hanna-Marie Schieder & Karla Borger grabbed the women’s gold. In the first-place match, they managed a 2-1 (21-18, 15-21, 15-12) victory over Mareet Maidhof & Paula Schurholz. Third-seeded Tabea Schwarz & Chenoa Christ and bracket leaders Lea Kunst & Melanie Paul, who lost the semifinals, shared the third place in the final standings.

In the men’s final in Munich, David Poniewaz & Luis Kubo (pictured in the main photo; credits: Justus Stegemann / volleyball-verband.de) squeezed out a 2-1 (20-22, 21-14, 15-7) victory over qualifiers Yannick Bibelriether & Valentin Schneckenburger. The third place was jointly occupied by Austrian qualifiers Mathias Seiser & Laurenc Grossig and third-seeded Momme Lorenz & Tilo Rietschel.

GERMANY (ROCK THE BEACH)

The ROCK the BEACH tour also held its first event of the year last week in Sankt Peter-Ording. Top-seeded Yannik Ahr & Luis Henrichs lived up to their status and won the men’s gold after a 2-1 (21-11, 21-23, 15-8) victory over Georg Wolf & Peter Wolf in the final. A three-set third-place match determined the third-seeded mixed German-Slovenian pairing of Jonathan Erdmann & Nejc Zemljak as the bronze medalists. They beat Tilo Backhaus & Lukas Salimi by 2-1 (21-15, 13-21, 15-13).

Second-seeded Leonie Klinke & Elea Beutel mastered a 2-0 (21-13, 21-16) upset of top-seeded Christine Aulenbrock & Lisa-Sophie Kotzan in the women’s gold medal match, and in the bronze medal game, third-seeded Nina Interwies & Larissa Claassen delivered a 2-1 (17-21, 21-18, 15-6) win over the German-Croatian team of Sophie Apel & Maja Rosko.

GREECE

Wild cards Elisavet Triantafillidi & Dimitra Manavi topped the women’s standings at the Piraeus stop on the Hellenic Beach Volleyball National Tour in Greece. They battled it out for a 2-1 (21-17, 14-21, 15-13) victory over second-seeded Konstantina Tsopoulou & Mirto Kalamaridou in the gold medal showdown. The teams that lost the semifinals – Maria Polonyfi & Zina (Georgia) Sotiropoulou and Anastasia Shirinina & Paraskevi Zafeiriou – shared the third place.

Women’s results and standings

The men’s gold went to Dimitrios Chatzinikolaou & Stavros Ntallas, who put together a 2-0 (21-18, 21-19) sweep of the final against Panagiotis Semitekolos & Christos Tsigaridas. Spyros Kaloudis & Triantafyllos Restemis and second-seeded Antiol Kola & Evangelos Sideris finished jointly in third place.

ITALY

The Marina di Ravenna men’s gold at last week’s Fonzies Absolute Italian Beach Volleyball Championship tour stop was conquered by second-seeded Carlo Bonifazi & Raoul Acerbi. In the final, they hammered out a 2-0 (21-16, 21-19) victory over Daniele Travi & Nicolo Siccardi. Simone Podesta & Edoardo Pizzileo earned bronze after a 2-0 (21-15, 21-18) shutout of Alessandro Carucci & Alessandro Preti in the third-place game.

Men’s results and standings

Third-seeded Giada Benazzi & Erika Ditta triumphed in the women’s tournament. They produced a hard-fought 2-0 (23-21, 21-18) straight-setter in the final against Camilla Sanguigni & Sofia Balducci. Aurora Mattavelli & Margherita Tega completed the podium. In the bronze medal match, they beat Sharin Rottoli & Oriola Shpuza by a convincing 2-0 (21-15, 21-16).

JAPAN

Bracket leaders Sakura Ito & Mayu Sawame celebrated women’s gold at the Yokohama event on the Japan Beach Volleyball Tour. They delivered a 2-0 (21-17, 23-21) win over third-seeded Ren Matsumoto & Non Matsumoto in the final. These two teams won their semifinals against Harumi Sakai & Shion Tsubouchi and second-seeded Asami Shiba & Reika Murakami, who shared the third place in the final standings.

In the men’s final, third-seeded Hiroki Dylan Kurokawa & Yoshiumi Hasegawa managed a 2-1 (21-15, 20-22, 15-12) upset of top-seeded Takumi Takahashi & Jumpei Ikeda. The third place was jointly occupied by Yu Takuma & Yuta Nagai  and qualifiers Yusuke Ishijima (Gottsu) & Shoki Ueda.

NETHERLANDS

In the men’s final of the Utrecht stop on the Eredivisie Beach national tour of the Netherlands, second-seeded Cain van Hal & Mart van Werkhoven beat third-seeded Quinten Groenewold & Joran Maurice by 2-0 (21-16, 21-16). The bronze medal game was more competitive and was decided in the tie-breaker – 2-1 (19-21, 25-23, 15-13) Gijs Dikken & Elwin Oskam’s way over Tim van Adrichem & Max van Straten.

Men’s results and standings

Bracket leaders Mila Konink & Raisa Schoon beat second-seeded Lisa Luini & Desy Poiesz by a convincing 2-0 (21-11, 21-17) in the women’s final. In the third-place match, however, third-seeded Jill de Groot & Leanne van Vegten suffered a 2-1 (21-18, 22-24, 15-10) upset at the hands of Serena van der Made & Rianne Stok, who completed the podium with bronze.

POLAND

Poland’s Orlen Beach Volley Tour paid a visit to Leba, where second-seeded Aleksandra Zdon & Justyna Lukaszewska conquered the women’s gold after a 2-0 (21-11, 22-20) victory over Tereza Pluharova & Michaela Kubickova in the final. Agnieszka Woloszyn & Aleksandra Chyla beat third-seeded Patrycja Jundzill & Julia Gierczynska by a narrow 2-0 (24-22, 21-19) for the bronze.

Jedrzej Brozyniak & Piotr Janiak lived up to their ranking as bracket leaders and brought home the men’s gold. In the first-place game, they achieved a 2-0 (21-19, 21-13) win over qualifiers Piotr Lukasik & Kacper Taudul. A 2-1 (21-18, 18-21, 15-10) three-setter decided the bronze in favor of qualifiers Jakub Zdybek & Pawel Lewandowski over second-seeded Piotr Groszek & Igor Ciemachowski.

SLOVAKIA

Adrian Petruf & Richard Petruf topped the men’s podium at the Strazke stop on Slovakia’s 2025 Nike Summer Beach Tour. The bracket leaders put together a 2-0 (21-16, 21-18) shutout of Lukas Nesticky & Martin Petras in the gold medal match. Second-seeded mixed Slovakian-Czech duo of Kamil Pavlinsky & Jarosik Jakub settled for bronze after claiming a 2-1 (21-18, 19-21, 15-8) win over another Slovakian-Czech combo, third-seeded Ivan Povraznik & Michal Borski, for the third place.

The women’s gold was clinched by second-seeded Michaela Panekova & Veronika Podhradska, who took a 2-0 (21-16, 23-21) victory over Ema Matasova & Ema Palkovicova in the final. Karolina Majernikova & Andrea Spevarova hammered out a sweeping 2-0 (21-9, 21-14) win over Linda Margetiakova & Kristina Chovancova to earn bronze.
