CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC.com) – Student-athletes from across the Atlantic Coast Conference visited Charlotte, North Carolina, and the ACC headquarters for the second annual ACC Career Trek held June 25-27.

After a successful first year in 2024, the ACC Creek Trek again provided student-athletes the opportunity to visit various locations to explore potential careers, network with professionals and gain insights into what employees are seeking in potential candidates. Attendees were able to immerse themselves in gaining hands-on experience and a look behind the scenes into the workforce.

A total of 30 student-athletes selected from across the league traveled to the Queen City and met with representatives and listened to panel discussions from five different categories including: media, real estate, banking, healthcare, government and sports. On Friday, student-athletes attended a panel at 23XI Racing with representatives from NASCAR, Minor League Baseball, ESPN, the NFL and the NBA.

“Not only do we love to see our incredible student-athletes thrive on the playing field, but we also want them to succeed when their playing days are over,” said Commissioner Jim Phillips, Ph.D. “The ACC Career Trek is another example of how the ACC continues to put our student-athletes at the forefront in everything we do. The panelists on Friday were engaging and informative, and it is my hope our student-athletes learned some valuable lessons throughout the week.”

At the end of the events, resumes from all 30 attendees were collected and distributed to employers and professionals involved in the ACC Career Trek.
