  • ARCHBISHOP HOBAN 63, AVON LAKE 32: The Knights (18-3) tore Avon Lake’s offense apart, forcing 30 turnovers to grind down the Shoregals (16-4). Niera Stevens scored a game-high 20 points, shooting 10-of-13 from the free-throw line. Hoban’s Amariya Davis added 11 points.
  • NORTON 52, COPLEY 50: Visiting Norton edged Copley in a nonleague game for its seventh consecutive win. Junior Dakota Graham had 25 points and Alivia Goff added 12 points for the Panthers (10-8), who are averaging 52 points during the winning streak. Audrey Parker scored 22 points for Copley (15-5).
  • CVCA 49, BUCHTEL 10: Joi Williams made three 3-pointers and scored a game-high 13 points for the Royals (14-5) in a nonleague win at Buchtel (4-14).
  • NORTHWEST 43, LAKE 40: Junior guard Alivia Greenfield scored 12 points to pace Northwest (17-2) to a nonleague win over the visiting Blue Streaks. Savanna Horning scored a game-high 15 points and Hayden Croyle added 12 for Lake (4-15).
  • LYNDHURST BURSH 63, ST. VINCENT-ST. MARY 61 (OT): Four Arcs scored in double figures in a battle of sophomore players and two of the top three teams in Ohio’s Division III Northeast District. Sophomore Chaniyra McDowell-Isaacs led Brush (18-2) with 16 points in handing the top-ranked Irish their second loss. Sophomore Melania Cornute’s game-high 19 points led STVM (18-2).
  • MOGADORE 47, LAKE CENTER CHRISTIAN 28: The Wildcats won their fifth consecutive game, posting a Portage Trail Conference win in Lake Twp. Amelia Morris led Mogadore (17-3, 3-3) with a double-double of 10 points and 16 rebounds, Julie Tompkins scored a team-high with 11 points and Ari Tompkins finished with 10 points. Megan Treen scored a game-high 17 points for the Tigers (1-13, 0-6).
  • STREETSBORO 50, SPRINGFIELD 19: Streetsboro all-time leading scorer Naomi Benson scored 19 points, leading 10 players who scored for the Rockets (15-3, 11-0) in a Metro Athletic Conference victory. The win snapped Springfield’s two-game win streak. Kendall Wilderman scored 14 points for the Spartans (8-11, 4-7).

Monday’s boys bowling: Lake wins Fed match

  • LAKE 2,926, GLENOAK 2,868: Zac Abbott’s 473 series topped four Blue Streaks to bowl a plus-400 series in Monday’s Federal League win.
