DENMARK TOWNSHIP — The Stillwater girls alpine skiing team built on its lead in the Suburban East Conference standings with another victory in frigid conditions on Tuesday, Jan. 21 at Afton Alps.
The Ponies outdistanced Forest Lake (601) and East Ridge (571) for the top spot. It was the team’s fourth victory in as many SEC events this season and they will enter the fifth and final conference meet with a 2,601-2,437 margin over Forest Lake. Stillwater has won 13 straight conference championships. East Ridge ranks third in the season-long standings with 2,153 points.
