EMMITSBURG, Md. (January 22, 2025) – Mount St. Mary’s women’s water polo utility player Anita Radaelli was named to the Preseason All-MAAC Team by the conference office on Wednesday.
Last season, Radaelli featured in all 30 games for the Mountaineers while scoring 46 goals from 108 attempts at goal for a shooting percentage of 43%. The native of Monza, Italy also provided 56 assists to her teammates in front of goal while recording 57 steals. Radaelli also drew 50 exclusions for the team.
In this year’s addition of MAAC women’s water polo, the Mount was picked in the preseason coach’s poll to finish seventh. Last year, the Mountaineers finished third in the MAAC Blue Division, qualifying for the postseason. They went on to upset the second seed and nationally ranked, LIU 9-8 in the opening round in the conference tournament.
