Another Big Weekend to Experience Women’s Volleyball

The AVCA had a big time last weekend at First Serve in Lincoln and Sioux Falls with some great matches between top-flight teams to get the 2025 women’s volleyball season going. The arenas were packed, and those who didn’t have tickets were able to check out the matches on major TV networks.

This weekend marks the first full week of Division I competition, and we will have a great opportunity to keep the momentum from First Serve going. Particularly of note are three marquee events in Madison, Nashville, and Pittsburgh featuring 11 teams that were ranked in the 2025 AVCA Preseason Poll.

Wisconsin’s Opening Spike Classic takes place Friday and Sunday, followed by Nashville’s Broadway Block Party triple-header on Sunday, and the State Farm Showcase in Pittsburgh Sunday and Monday. If you are in those areas, make sure to get tickets to see some great volleyball live. If you aren’t, check out the times and network information so you can tune in!
