ALMA, Mich. – Tess Anthony won the shot put with a massive throw leading the Albion College track and field teams kicked off day one of the MIAA Championships. After day one, the men are in third place with 33 points, as the women sit fourth with 26.

Shot Put: Eddie Hines (second, 16.50m), Connor Dewan (third, 13.85m), Van Norman (fourth, 13.79m), Trevor Lemaigre (eighth, 12.16m); Tess Anthony (first, 13.46m), Ashley Booth (seventh, 11.41m).

Long Jump: Henry Wehrly (fourth, 6.64m)

Hammer Throw: Tess Anthony (third, 43.55m), Leilani Casteele (fourth, 41.07m), Morgan Hurd (39.64m), Skye Dickson (eighth, 38.74m); Eddie Hines (third, 52.09m)

Pole Vault: Brayden Stavros (seventh, 3.76m)
