Arkansas State baseball scrimmages at Slayton Family Field

Arkansas State baseball scrimmaged Sunday afternoon at Slayton Family Field. It marked the third day of Red Wolves preseason practice. A-State is preparing for their first season under head coach Mike Silva.Resolution #24-44 declared that the upgraded surface would be known as Slayton Family Field. All of the field and stadium upgrades total up to 2.2 million dollars. The Arkansas State Board of Trustees approved the changes in September 2024. Resolution #24-42 gave the ASU System the greenlight to proceed with the A-State Baseball Turf Capital Project. It’s financed through institutional reserves.Arkansas State opens the season Friday, February 14th at home vs. Morehead State. First pitch is scheduled for 3:00pm.
