Assists in the daily administration of the athletics department and athletic programs, serves on the department’s senior leadership team overseeing sports and responsible for enhancing the student-athlete experience
Make significant contributions to strategic planning by proposing, implementing, and assessing short and long-term goals of the department
Responsible for direct supervision of coaches and staff, as assigned.
Serves as the primary liaison for athletics for matters related to gender equity, diversity, inclusion, student-athlete well-being and student leadership.
Collaborate with campus member on matters that impact the student-athlete experience and create programs and opportunities that promote the student athlete experience and support student athlete wellness
Administer student athletes’ coach evaluations, coordinate and track department staff training, onboarding, development, awards and recognition programs and cultivate data trends and themes to assist in enacting departmental enhancements
Work with members of the Athletics department to ensure teams are active in community service and endeavors that support the department and University goals, mission, and strategic plan
Serves on the President’s Athletic Advisory Board to assist in implementing athletic/academic integration programs and policies
Researches best practices in the industry and makes recommendations on new programs, facilities, initiatives, operational and strategic goals
Assists in completion and review of the EADA, NCAA Financial and Graduation Rates reports
Represents the institution at Conference and NCAA events and assists with game management and travel to postseason contests, as needed.
Involvement in multiple areas, including but not limited to, fundraising, admission and student academic success.
Performs other duties as assigned.
1-3 years of experience in athletics administration or comparable experience
4 year degree, Masters preferred
