MINOT, N.D. (KMOT) – Before today’s state parade, runners got an early workout with the annual ‘Run the Route’ 5K.

Hundreds of athletes of all ages took over the streets of Minot, while the parade entries cheered them on.

We even saw a few four-legged friends joining their human counterparts.

Yoni Neyshtadt of Minot was the first overall male finisher, and Danielle Turk-Bly from Burlington finished first for the women.

There were also winners for each age range.

Congrats to all of today’s competitors!
