• Oregon State’s eight home runs Saturday surpassed the program record of seven, which the Beavers had most recently equaled in the 2024 season opener against New Mexico.
Gavin Turley became the 10th Beaver to hit three home runs in a game. He joins a group that includes: Jerry Exley (1956 vs. Oregon), Darryl Summerfield (1968 vs. Washington), Jim Wilson (1982 vs. Washington State), Steve Smith (1983 vs. Oregon Tech), Ben Bertrand (1998 vs. Washington), Andy Jarvis (2001 vs. Washington State), Jacob Melton (2021 vs. Utah), Mason Guerra (2024 vs. Portland) and Travis Bazzana (2024 vs. Washington State).
• Turley now has 40 home runs as a Beaver, five shy of equaling Bazzana’s Oregon State career record.
• Turley is 7-for-12 with four runs, 10 RBI, four home runs and a double in his last three games.
• Turley has reached base safely in 19 consecutive games while AJ Singer is at 12.
• The Beavers have hit 16 home runs in their last six games.
• Twenty-five of Oregon State’s 63 hits over that six-game stretch have gone for extra bases.
Jacob Krieg leads the Beavers with eight home runs after posting a two-run homer Saturday. He is followed by Turley and Aiva Arquette, both of whom have seven.
• Sunday’s probable starter, Ethan Kleinschmit, has issued just two walks in his last 18 2/3 innings – over three starts – while striking out 21.
• Kleinschmit had walked eight over his first 15 innings of the season while striking out 17.
• His overall WHIP this season is 0.83.
• Oregon State’s staff struck out 15 batters in Saturday’s win, equaling a season-high. The Beavers have struck out 67 in their last 50 2/3 innings.

Gavin Turley hit three home runs and Oregon State set a record with eight as a team in a 16-5 seven-inning win over Nebraska Saturday in Lincoln. The Beavers hit at least one home run in all seven innings and ended the day with 12 hits in the 11-run victory. Turley homered in the third, fourth and sixth innings. He hit a grand slam in the fourth. Aiva Arquette, Wilson Weber, Jacob Krieg, Easton Talt and AJ Singer all hit one home run.
