Beavers Earn Podium Finish at WCC Championships
CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Oregon State women’s cross country team delivered a standout performance at the WCC Championship at the brand-new Course Spokane Valley in Spokane Valley, Washington. In the first-ever race hosted at the venue, the Beavers placed third overall as a team.
Leading the way for Oregon State was senior Sage Brooks, who placed 10th overall in 20:36.8. Close behind, Sydney Partyka finished 12th in 20:46.4, while Kate Laurent took 19th in 20:51.8, Ainsley Herron placed 21st in 20:54.9, and Ruby Broadbent crossed 23rd in 21:03.1 to complete the scoring five. The Beavers’ top group combined for 85 team points, fueling their third-place finish.
Adding to Oregon State’s strength, Noemi Lundgren finished 26th in 21:12.4 and Maella Hodgson placed 30th in 21:33.6, with Molly Latincsics following in 37th at 21:54.1, Maya Baechler in 40th at 22:00.1, and Katie Kopec in 48th at 22:20.3.
