During Season 5, Episode 11 of Below Deck Sailing Yacht, the Parsifal III crew was faced with a picky primary, Ronnie, who had some problems with how they were doing their job — specifically, their chosen decor for her 50th birthday party.
While stewardesses Diana Cruz and Danni Warren were hard at work decorating for the “Studio 50”-themed affair, Ronnie came up to the deck to check on their progress.
At first, she was pleased to see an abundance of gold decor … but then her eyes fell on some black details.
“Uh oh. They’re putting black. I do not want black. No, no black. No black. I can’t. No. Sorry,” she said. “I don’t like black. I hate gold and black because gold and black is like, ‘Oh, you’re over the hill and all that bullsh-t.’ No.”
While she said “thank you” to the girls for their help in general, she ultimately put her foot down on the no-black rule and explained her reasoning once again.
“I don’t like the black and gold because when you go to Walgreens it’s like, ‘Over the hill.’ And what are the colors? Gold and black,” she said.
Though her friend Tammy tried to jump in and defend the color (“But yet, she wears black,” she said), Ronnie still wouldn’t have it.
“I’m not dead. I’m alive. Let’s celebrate with glam,” the primary explained. “Rose gold would’ve nailed it. Right?”
Thus, the stewardesses had to rethink their strategy — a fact they weren’t too pleased about.
“Who the f-ck hates black? It’s just f-cking pissing me off,” noted Danni in a confessional.
Despite the setback, the true professionals nailed the design and Ronnie was ultimately happy when she returned from her boat tour to find the party ready to rock, even though a little black was still involved.
“I love it,” she said. “And look! Just a hint of the black.”
The Below Deck Sailing Yacht charter guests also weren’t pleased with their dining setup
Sometimes, everything that can go wrong will go wrong. Besides the decor, Ronnie was stung by a jellyfish while on her yachting vacation and wasn’t too happy about her mealtime setup. During Episode 10, she complained about meals being served downstairs instead of on the main deck.
“Do we also have to eat every meal at this table?” she asked. “Like, can we eat upstairs, or? It’s really gonna bother me. I gotta get over it.”
