Canada’s Biathletes Ski Into the 2024-25 Season With a New Look
Biathlon Canada is excited to introduce Dæhlie Sportswear as its official apparel partner. As a leader in sports apparel designed for cross-country skiing and endurance sports, this partnership will provide Canada’s biathletes with the apparel they need to be successful on the world stage.
“We spend most days during the winter in our team clothing, whether that be training, racing or recovering, so having clothing that works for us is huge,” said national team athlete Benita Peiffer. “Not only is it important the clothing allows us to perform, and can last through a winter’s worth of use, but it’s also important we feel confident and proud in what we’re wearing. We’re really happy with how this season’s kits looks and excited to be wearing Dæhlie Sportswear this winter.”
Founded by Olympic legend Bjørn Dæhlie, Dæhlie Sportswear has been at the forefront of designing technical apparel that meets the demands of elite athletes. With a focus on advanced materials, functional design, and sustainability, Dæhlie’s products are trusted by professionals and enthusiasts around the world.
“This partnership marks an exciting new chapter for Biathlon Canada,” said CEO Kerry Dankers. “Dæhlie’s commitment to quality, innovation, and sustainability aligns perfectly with our mission to support our athletes as they compete on the world stage. We’re proud to see our team outfitted with apparel that empowers them to perform their best while representing Canada with pride.”
Biathlon Canada’s athletes debuted their new race suits, designed in collaboration with Dæhlie Sportswear, at the Biathlon World Cup season opener on Nov. 30 in Kontiolahti, Finland. “We worked with Dæhlie Sportswear to design the race suit,” said Peiffer. “The project was athlete-led, with the designers at Dæhlie helping us take our ideas, and turn them into something we are proud to wear as we represent Canada.”
