Boerstra Named WCC Offensive Player of the Week

LOS ANGELES — LMU graduate outside hitter Maddie Boerstra has been named the West Coast Conference Offensive Player of the Week, after turning in one of the most productive scoring stretches of her collegiate career.

Boerstra powered the Lions to a perfect 2–0 week, helping LMU earn decisive wins over Saint Mary’s and Pacific. Across the two matches, she totaled 36 kills, averaged 5.14 kills per set, and hit an efficient .338, leading all WCC attackers in both kills and points for the week. She added 13 digs, four blocks, and 41.5 total points, showcasing her impact as a six-rotation presence.

Boerstra opened the week with a standout performance in LMU’s 3–1 road win at Saint Mary’s, posting 22 kills on .327 hitting, along with nine digs and three blocks. 

She followed with another strong outing in the Lions’ sweep of Pacific, recording 14 kills on .357 hitting, plus four digs and a block, pacing LMU from start to finish.

This marks Boerstra’s first weekly honor of the season and highlights her continued rise as one of the WCC’s most dependable offensive leaders.
