Boise State Finishes Strong at Lewis & Clark Opener

PORTLAND, Ore. – The Boise State men’s cross country team opened the 2025 season with a first-place finish in the 5k at the Lewis & Clark Opener, Friday. Collectively, the women’s team placed second in a 12-team field.

Alex Kilby led the way for the men, finishing first overall with a time of 14:56.88. Jack Sheesley (15:04.80), Braylon Baggett (15:11.61), Ezra Teeples (15:14.81) and Cody Lucas (15:20.74) all cracked the top ten, guiding the Broncos to victory with 17 points.

The trio of Nanette Novak (17:34.62), Haley Blaine (17:50.70), and Julia Kiesler (17:55.19) were in the top 10 of the women’s 5k, finishing seventh, eighth and ninth, respectively. They helped propel the team to a second-place finish with 47 points.

What’s Next

The Broncos will travel to South Bend, Ind. on Oct. 3 to compete in the Joe Piane Invitational at Notre Dame.
