In a sport known for speed, rivalries, and roaring engines, it’s the quiet, human moments that often leave the deepest impact.

Earlier this week, NASCAR lost a beloved figure in Danny Allor II. Brad Keselowski, along with his RFK Racing team, delivered a heartfelt tribute that reminded everyone that racing is, above all, a family.

A Friend, Not Just a Sponsor for Keselowski and RFK Racing

Daniel “Danny” Collins Allor II wasn’t your typical big-name in NASCAR. You wouldn’t see him giving TV interviews or starting drama on pit road. But if you followed Keselowski’s No. 6 team in recent years, you’d know exactly who he was.

Allor was the proud owner of Solomon Plumbing—a Michigan-based business specializing in plumbing and fire protection systems. He brought that same no-nonsense energy to NASCAR when he began sponsoring Keselowski’s car back in 2022. But for Keselowski, the connection with Allor was more than business—it was personal.

Both Michigan natives, Allor and Keselowski, bonded over their love for racing, country music, and just being regular guys chasing their goals. When Keselowski took over as co-owner of RFK Racing in 2022, the team was in rough shape.

And guess who believed in him when things were shaky? Allor did. He stuck by RFK, backing them when not many others would.

Sadly, Allor passed away on April 27 at the age of 56. The cause of his death wasn’t shared publicly.

Honouring a Legacy

To honour him, Keselowski and the RFK crew didn’t just make a statement—they made a memory. For the upcoming race at Texas Motor Speedway, all the RFK Racing Fords will carry a special tribute decal, which depicts Keselowski hugging Allor and his wife, Danielle. It’s not flashy—it’s just real. And that’s what makes it so moving.

Keselowski also paid tribute to another fallen racer, Mike Chase, in his personal message on X (formerly Twitter). He wrote, “Heart breaking. Mr. Danny and Mr. Mike Chase in the last week.” It’s been a tough for the NASCAR family, but moments like these remind us how close-knit the community really is.

Allor wasn’t just a sponsor, but was a close friend to many of RFK’s team members. He loved racing, the outdoors, and putting in a hard day’s work.

And while he might not have made headlines, his impact will be felt at every turn, every lap, and every race where RFK Racing hits the track.

Rest easy, Allor. The garage won’t be the same without you.
