LORETTO, Pa.- Bucknell women’s track & field sent a substantial chunk of its squadron to the Red Flash Open on Saturday as the final warm-up before next weekend’s Patriot League Outdoor Championships. The Bison finished fifth out of six teams with 65 points. 

Results

Clara Knab recorded the program’s highest finish by placing second in the 800-meter run. Her time of 2:17.72 earned the slot. 

Cassidy Roop was one of two runners in the 3000-meter steeplechase. She placed second, running 12:27.9. 

Several athletes finished fourth. Megan Cain did so in the 100-meter hurdles, running 16 seconds flat. Hailey Reinhard achieved the designation in the 1500-meter run, racing 4:47.71. Javelineer Melissa Viellette, part of the nation’s seventh-best javelin throw group, upheld her quartet’s standing, tossing 34.98m (114-9). Avery Rebar tossed 13m (42-8) in the shot put. 

Jenna Wright finished fifth in the 400-meter dash, recording 58.94. Madison Libby followed her example in the long jump, leaping 17-6.25.

Senior Siena Vestri placed seventh in the discus, throwing 34.70m (113-10). 

Senior Brenna Paxton recorded eighth in the hammer throw, tossing 35.40m (116-1). Morgan Deweese earned the same placement in the triple jump, leaping 35-1.75. 

Cami Burkett, running only a few miles from her hometown of Portage, finished tenth in the 100-meter dash, logging 12.88. The freshman’s fan base filled the stands. 

Bucknell heads to Worcester next weekend for the Patriot League Outdoor Championships.
